The Commissioners and l~. Lark discussed the
acquisition o:t the Schwicker Estate property ~ocated
on Marratooka Lake and the mode o:t financing same.
Commissioner Murphy made a motion, seconded by
Commissianer Reeve, to enter the Park District into
a contract to purchase the Schricker Estate prperty
consisting o:t approx:l.mate~ 4 ~/2 acres :tor the sum
o:t $23,000.00 subject to the Board o:t Park Commissioners
obtaining approvaJ. o:t the :tinrmcing 1'rom either the
Town Board or the taxpayers o:t the District whichever
is required. Motion unaniDlOus~y carried.
Mr. Reeve then cal.~ed Mr. Gmespie, broker :tor
the Schricker Estate to confirm that the Park District
would enter into a contract :tor the property at a price
o:t $23,000.00. Mr. Lark also spoke with Mr. Gi~espie

A discussion f'o~~owd about the relllOvaJ. of grave~
from the Bound site. Mr. Murphy reported hearing that a
petition had bellll around about stopping the relllOvaJ. of
gra~. A man from the Corps of Engineers on request
of Mr. Pike, had bean in touch with Mr. Murphy asking
about the gravel removal.. Hr. l.turphy to~d him that the
grave~ was only relllOved from above high water mark and
did not touch be~ow the waters. This man had to report
back to Mr. Pike. Mr. Lark fe~t that it would be u-
right to advertise for bids or possibly extend the cur-
rent contract for removu of grave~ and have a contingen-
cy c~ause in the contract that procedures of relllOvaJ.
would be terminated upon notification from the Corps of
Engineers. .
Mr. Reeve said he would c~ Mr. LoIlr to see if he
is still interested in carting grave~ and whether he
wanted to extend his contract.

l-lr. Bergen reported that he and Mr. Murphy had
~ooked at the pie shaped piece of property in front of
the Mattituck Bow~ing Alley. It was their feding that
perhaps the Park District could take care of keeping
it in neat appearance so that it would not be such an
eye sore to the entrance of town. Mr. Murphy said he
would contact the necessary highwa;y man about doing this.
Mr. Bergen reported that someone had broken into the
garage on the Ba;y site and put sand in the crank case
of the tractor. Wuter WilUams took care of repairing
the SSJDe.
Mr. Murphy reported that the ~ice cu~ box would
