Mr. Ward: Good evening. Welcome to the May 1, 1995 Southold Town
Planning Board meeting. The first order of business is the setting
of the next Planning Board meeting. Board to set Thursday, May 18,
1995 at 7:00 p.m. at Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, as
the time and place for the next regular Planning Board meeting.
Mr. Edwards: So moved.
Mr. Latham: Second.
Mr. Ward: Moved and seconded. Ail in favor?
Ayes: Mr. Orlowski, Mr. Latham, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Ward.
Mr. Ward: Opposed? Motion carried.
MAJOR AND MINOR SUBDIVISIONS, LOT LINE CHANGES AND SET OFF
APPLICATIONS
Final Determinations:
Mr. Ward: Michael Racz and Gall Dessimoz This lot line change is
to subtract 56,156 square feet from a 142,017 square foot parcel
and add it to a 71,889 square foot parcel. SCTM~ 1000--112-1-3 & 4.

Mr. Edwards: Mr. Chairman, I move that the Southold Town Planning
Board authorize the Chairman to endorse the final surveys dated
December 9, 1992. Conditional final approval was granted on
January 9, 1995. Ail conditions have been fulfilled.

Mr. Ward: Motion seconded. Ail in favor?

Final Extensions:
Mr. Ward: Anqel Shores - This major subdivision is for 49 lots on
92.74 acres located off Main Bayview Road in Southold. SCTM~
1000--88--6-1, 4 & 5. What's the pleasure of the Board?
Mr. Latham: I'd like to offer this resolution. Be it resolved
that the Southold Town Planning Board grant a ninety (90) day
extension of conditional final approval from April 24, 1995 to July
24, 1995. Conditional final approval was granted on October 24,
1994.
Mr. Edwards: Second the motion.
Mr. Ward: Motion seconded. All in favor?
Ayes: Mr. Orlowski, Mr. Latham, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Ward.
Mr. Ward: Opposed? Motion carried.
Mr. Ward: James and Mary Ann Abbott -- This lot line change is to
subtract 4,440 square feet from a 35,890 square foot lot and add it
to a 27,750 square foot lot. SCTM~ t000--126--5-2 & 3. What's the
pleasure of the Board?
Mr. Edwards: Mr. Chairman, I move that the Southold Town Planning
Board grant a ninety (90) day extension of conditional final
approval. Conditional final approval was granted on October 24,
1994. The 90 day extension will expire on July 24, 1995 unless all
conditions of approval have been fulfilled.

Mr. EdWards: Mr. Chairman, I move that the Southold Town Planning
Board set Thursday, May 18, 1995 at 7:00 p.m. for a final public
hearing on the maps dated December 16, 1994.
Mr. Orlowski: Second.
Mr. Ward: Motion seconded. Ail in favor?

on the north side of Middle Road (C.R. 48), approximately 900 feet

Mr. Latham: Mr. Chairman, I move that the Southold Town Planning
Board set Thursday, May 18, 1995 at 7:05 p.m. for a final public
hearing on the maps dated February 3, 1995.

Mr. Edwards: Mr. Chairman, I move that the Southold Town Planning
Board grant a six month extension of sketch approval from May 15,
1995 to November 15, 1995. Conditional sketch approval was granted
on November 15, 1993.

APPLICATIONS -- STATE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY REVIEW ACT
Determinations:
Mr. Ward: Indian Shores - This major subdivision is for 17 lots on
105.6 acres located on the south side of Main Road and the north
side of New Suffolk Ave., in Cutchogue. The 37.47 acre 17th lot is
proposed to be sold to the Town as a Town Park. SCTM~
1000-116~-1-3. What's the pleasure of the Board?
Mr. Orlowski: Mr. Chairman, I move that the Southold Town Planning
Board, acting under the State Environmental Quality Review Act,
assumes lead agency status on this Type 1 action.
Mr. Latham: Second.
Mr. Ward: Ail in favor?
Ayes: Mr. Orlowski, Mr. Latham, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Ward.
Mr. Ward: Opposed? Motion carried.
Mr. Orlowski: Also, Mr. Chairman I'd like to make a further motion
that the Planning Board, as lead agency, finds that the action may
significantly effect the environment, and makes a determination of
a Positive Declaration.

SITE PLANS
Final Determinations:
Mr. Ward: Cablevision Systems Corp. -- This proposed site plan is
for the constru.ction of a 1,200 square foot building to house cable
switching and transmission equipment on a 4.5 acre site located on
Rt. 25 in Greenport. SCTM~ 1000--52-5-p/o 59.4. What's the
pleasure of the Board?

Mr. Orlowski: Whereas, William Quim is the contract vendee of the
property known and designated as Cablevision Systems Corp., located
at Main Road, Greenport, SCTM~ 1000-52-5-p/o 59.4 and;
Whereas, a formal application for the approval of this site plan
was submitted on March 20, 1995; and
Whereas, the Southold Town Planning Board, pursuant to the State
Environmental Quality Review Act, (Article 8), Part 617, declared
itself lead agency and issued a Negative Declaration on April 10,
1995; and
Whereas, all the requirements of the Site Plan Regulations of the
Town of Southold have been met; be it therefore
Resolved, that the Southold Town Planning Board grant conditional
final approval on the surveys dated April 12, 1995, and authorize
the Chairman to endorse the final surveys subject to fulfillment of
the following conditions. All conditions must be met within six
months of the date of this resolution.
1. Certification by the Senior Building Inspector.
2. A one year review from date of building permit.

SITE PLANS - STATE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY REVIEW ACT
Lead Agency Coordination:
Mr. Ward: Cross Sound Ferry -- This site plan is to add additional
parking to a previously approved ferry terminal on Rt. 25 in
Orient. SCTM~ 1000-15-19~-10.1 and 11.1.
Mr. Edwards: Mr. Chairman, I move that the Southold Town Planning
Board, acting under the State Environmental Quality Review Act,
start the lead agency coordination process on this Type 1 action.
Mr. Latham: Second.
Mr. Ward: Motion seconded. Ail in favor?
Ayes: Mr. Orlowski, Mr. Latham, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Ward.

CHANGE OF ZONE APPLICATIONS
Mr. Ward: Stronq's Marine - Planning Board to send recommendations
to the Town Board in the change of zone application for Strong's
Marine. SCTM~ 1000-15--9-10.1, 11.1, 15.1. What's the pleasure of
the Board?
Mr. Orlowski: I make a motion we send our recommendations to the
Town Board.
Mr. Edwards: Second.
Mr. Ward: Motion seconded. Ail in favor?
Ayes: Mr. Orlowski, Mr. Latham, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Ward.
Mr. Ward: Opposed? Motion carried.
OTHER
Mr. Ward: Honeysuckle Hills -- Planning Board to review amendment
to filed subdivision in regard to removing reservation for possible
future highway dedication located on Lot Number 12.
Mr. Orlowski: Mr. Chairman, I make a motion whereas Walter Gatz,
owner of the original subdivision map known as "Honeysuckle Hills
at Mattituck", and the current owner of Lot Number 12 on said
subdivision, has requested that the Town Planning Board authorize
the filing of an Affidavit of Correction; and
Whereas, the request for the Affidavit of Correction relates to a
reservation for possible future highway dedication at a location on
Lot No. 12 on said map; and
Whereas, this Planning Board has reviewed the request and the
records of the Planning Board, and has determined that this
reservation is no longer necessary, and the Town does not need the
area of Lot Number 12 for present or future highway dedication; be
it therefore
Resolved, that the Planning Board does hereby authorize the filing
of an Affidavit of Correction of Amendment removing the reservation
for possible future highway dedication from Lot Number 12.
Mr. Latham: I'll second that.

Mr. Ward: Opposed? Motion carried. Being that I have no further
business to bring before the Board, does any other Board member
