The minutes of the regular October meeting were read and approved. The Treasurer's report was read and approved: Budget Account Gravel kcount $2,248.00 2,337.88 Total $4,585.88 Bills approved for payment as follows: Bergen Oil Gen. $ 42.10 Tryac Truck " 39.80 RIS Hardware " 29.86 G.L. Penny, Inc. " 133.57 . N.Y.Telephone Co. " 42.28 L. 1. Light " 196.06 L.I. Traveler Legal 26.23 D. Sullivan Gen. 9.00 R. Krause " 9.00 C. Bennett " 9.00 Notice received from Board of Appeals regarding an addition to the Val Styoe Insurance Office which abuts the Park District property on Pike Street. The Commissioners discussed what to do with the boat in the Marina at Love Lane. Commissioners to speak to the attorney as to what WQuld be the best thing to do to get rid of the boat from the dock. No one seems to know who owns it. . The Secretary reported having received a petition of William Rupprecht for placing his name on the ballot to run for Commissioner to fill the vacancy caused by the expiration and retirement of Mr. Robert L. Bergen as of January 1, 1978. The petition was received by the Secretary on f .. j Mon as-, November 14, 1977 which was not ten days prior to the election so therefore the name could notlbe placed on the ballot. Mr. Bresller, the Park District attorney informed Mr. Rupprecht of this and told him he could, however, be a write-in on the ballot. Ji.. k_ . Mr. Reeve swore in the inspectors of election who were Dorothy Sullivan, Ruth Krause and Chippy Bennett and declared the polls open at 7:00 P.M. Polls declared closed at 9:00 P.M. and the results were as follows: . 69 votes for Gerard Goehringer 20 votes for William Rupprecht 8 votes void Mr. Goehringer will be the man to fill the vacancy on the Board of Commissioners as of January I, 1978. .
