!-\inutes of ihe Rep;ular meetinp; of the Board of
ComJoissioners of the Hattituck Park District held on
April 27, 19G2 with all Commissioners present except
Mr. Gerard Goehringer.
Mr. Floyd Jones, Hr. Jaek ~liska and Mr. Myron Young
attending the meeting and asked what improvements would
be made at the ramp. Mr. Murphy explained that permits
from the Corps of Engineers to dredp;e out the mouth of
the Creek would have to be obtained. Mr. r~urphy stated
he would speak to Mr. John Guldi about what can be done
at the ramp. Also ~lr. ~!iska said he would call
Mr. GuIdi. The men left the meetinp;.
Mr. Jeff Stronr: attended the meetinp; and asked to
exercise his option to renew the contract for the
1982 season for the Veterans Park eoncession.
Mr. Murphy stressed the point of keepinp; the eon-
cession in a much cleaner way. Mr. Murphy was to see
the Park's attorney regarding drawing up the contract.
~~. Ted Brigham attended the meeting regarding
the Slo Piteh League and the Ball Park site. The season
is to open before Memorial Day on May 23rd. That is
the only Sund~v they will play.
They will pl~V ball four nights a week from
~lay 2l,th through August 19th (Mond~v throur:h Thursday).
A few of the p;round rules: 'fhe lear,ue will clean up
in the beginning of the year. They will help to keep
the grass cut. the Park will supply the machines and
the water but will not operate the irrigation.
~!r. Brigham asked for some replacement bulbs for
the lights and for a plastic sheet or pIe xi-glass cover
on the score board. Mr. Brigham asked if the league
had to carry insurance. He was to talk to Mr. Bressler
rer:ardint the same. He also asked about the use of
metal spikes. The Commissioners felt it had nothing
to do with them but he could also ask Mr. Bressler's
advice on the submit. Mr. Briv,ham said he felt the
ball pl~vers would paint the bleaehers and do some
repairs around the ball park. Mr. BrilSham left the
meeting.

The lease for the Parking Lot on the south side
of Pike Street was received from the Town of Southold
with check for $1.00.
The rircht of way from Love Lane to the parking lot
has to be re-ner;otiated.
'fhe new rules and rerculations of the Park District
have been approved and Gail Wickham, attorney, is to
make the necessary recommendations and to also includ
the Local Law III of the Town of Southold.
Hr. Graeb is to see t.\r. Orlowski regarding insurance
(major medical) for David Haas.
Hr. Goehringer to have Larry Reeve's picture
framed and write up a press release.
Various signs for the park sites were discussed.
The Commissioners authorized the purchase of a
compressor from t~attituck Auto Parks and the spray
equipment.
The Park Commissioners authorized the building of
a couple of fire places at \eterans Park site.
Mr. Arthur Foster is to be hired to remove
sand at the Veterans Park site.
Mr. Murphy to contact Eric Bressler, attorney,
regarding the advertising of the Breakwater con-
cession.
Mr. Murphy to see Ray Dean about oiling the
Veterans Park parking lot.
No further business to come before the neeting,
the meeting was adjourned.
