HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-06/14/1982 Minutes of regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held at the Mattituck High School library on June 14, 1982 at 7:30 P.M. with all Commissioners present. Mr. Robert Everhart of New Suffolk attended the meeting to ask about wing the facilities at the Yacht Club on June 25, 26, and 27 for a Board SaiUng gathering. Pennission was granted to use the beach and bathroom facilities. Mr. Everhart left the meeting. They asked for pennission to use a facility. Scouters Lodge has been granted to them. David Haas attended the meeting and spoke about more boardwalk for the handicapped at the Sound. He was instructed to make some and also paint 2 8' sections wi th the handicapped sign. Also he was instructed to get several signs made up for no vehicles on the beach and emergency vehicles only on the scouter's lodge road. The road will be closed just beyond the Lodge with a cable between two poles and locks. Keys will be given to the Fire Department and Russ !line. A letter is to be written to Mrs Talbot of the ~lattituck Lionesses thanking them for their interest in the community and parks. Mr. Murphy reported that En-Consultants, Inc. said it takes two years to get a permit for a launching ramp on the the Creek. on the Bay Another launching r8lll!!!has been discussed for many years. After the property is paid off the Commissioner feel that they should put some money into a launching ramp. A study should be started now. Jerry is to talk to Pete Sabat about getting broken telephone poles. A proposed budget was discussed. Final figures will be submitted next month. Mr. Graeb asked if some fill from digging his swimming pool could be dumped at the Sacks property. Permission granted.
