Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of
Park Commissioners held on ),Iay 3, 1983 at the r,lattituck
IliRh School Library at 7: 30 P ./.1. with all COmmissioners
present with the exception of Gerard Goehringer, and
Treas urer, Robert Graeb.
Minutes of the previous meetinr. were read and
approved.

'1r. Bill Berliner was invited to the meetinf'; end
attended. The Cbmmissioners asked him if he, at his
'JilOD on Love Lane would take care of tagging and
hMdinR out the keys to the boat ramp for this
1983 seaSon for the sum of $500.00. He agreed to do
the same. He then left the meetinr;.
Commissioners are to instruct John Broice that
he and his summer aides are to clean and police the Love
Lane site and water the flowers. This is because
"1r. IlacMillan will t:lot be able to renew his contract
as he is moving out of town.
A motion made, seconded and carried that the
re~ular monthly meeting of the Park Commissioners will
be held on the third Wednesday of each month at the
Mattituck High School Libra!";! except for the
months of July and August when school is not in
session.

The secretary was instructed to contact the repre-
sentative of Camp Molloy to see if the little building
at the Camp could be donated to the Park District for use
as a storage she~ and the Aldrich Lane site.
Mr. Murphy to contact Paul Corazzini about the paving
of Veterans Park.
Mr. Murphy also Was to contact the necessary people
about re-surfacing and re-striping the tennis courts at
the Bay Avenue site.
A Mr. Victor Catalano and a Mr. Roger Munz asked for
the use of the Yacht Club site for a Catamaran Regatta
on June 10, 11, 12. So granted.
The secretary was instructed to send a letter to
Theodore Brigha~ requesting that he and various members
of the Slo-Pitch League attend our May 18th meeting
if they plan to use the Softball field this year.
The North Fork Soccer league asked for use of the
new field in Laurel. Commissioners agreed so long as
the league had their ovn insurance and would present us
with a schedule of their season.
The firm of MerrillJ, Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith
requested the Veterans' Park site for July 30th. So grantee
Tim Monahan I s time has been taken care of.
Mr. Burke discussed the Scouters Lodge. Perhaps some
help in the repairs to the building would be in line.
Mr. Burke is to talk to the people who use the building
about a fund-raiser. The secretary was instructed to write
to Mr. Russell Nine inviting him and representatives of
.ane the other organizations who use the building to come to
the May 18th meeting.
The Bay concession to go to bid. The Sound has the
option to renew. Should Mr. Kreh be awarded the bid for
the Bay site he would like to up-grade the electricity.
Mr. Murphy to look into where and price of metal
plaques.
