This code is now the state ofthe art in wetlands protection in that it draws on, and incorporates, wetland science as the basis for regulation. In order to gamer the maximum protection of wetlands afforded by these code changes, the citizenry must be educated as to the relationship between wetland science, the Town of Southold code regulations and activities people undertake that can impact wetland systems. This project would produce a broadcast quality educational video relating these issues. The video would be filmed in wetlands, at project sites, and would visually relate the wetland eode to regulated activities. It would be scripted to be enjoyable and informative.
