A regular meeting of the Board of Southotd Town Trustees was
held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, October l, 1980 at the Town Hall,
Main Road, Southold, New York.
Present were:
President Anna Hataier
Trustee Frank Kujawski, ~r.'(7:40 p.m.')
Trustee Henry Smith
Trustee Halsey Staples
Trustee Paul Stoutenburgh
Roberta Sinott, League of Women Voters
President'Hataier made a motion, seconded by Trustee Stapie~
and carried to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of
September 3, 1980 and set the date for the next meeting for November
6, 1980. - ...... ~
On motion made by President Hataier, seconded by'Trustee Smith,
it was
RESOLVED to approve the application of Rita F. Gledich to erect
catwalk, ramp and two floats off private property o£ the applicant
at East Creek.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Hataier, Smith, Staples, Stoutenburgh
On motion made by Trustee Stoutenburgh, seconded by"Trustee
Staples, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Tov~n~B0a~d~approval of
the wetland application of Rita F. Gledich to erect catwalk, ramp
and £1oats off private property of the applicant at East Creek.

On motion made by Trustee Stapies, seconded by T~rustee Smith,
RESOLVED to recomAend to '~'t{'~ Southold Town Board approval of
the wetland application of Henry Pierce to install walkway, ramp
and floats off private property of the applicant at Richmond Creek.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Hataier, Smith, 'Staples, Stoutenburgh
On motion made by President Hataier, seconded by Trustee

RESOLVED to approve the application of Howard A. Stabile
to place 100 lb. mushroom mooring at Gull Pond with access from
public property with the condition that it does not interfere
with navigation or existing moorings.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Hataier, Xujawski, Smith, Staples,
Stoutenburgh
It will be requested that Bay Constable Czelatka contact John
Geideman and together they make a oheck o£ the area regarding
existing permits where there are no moorings ormoorings'without
numbers.
The applications of Alfred W. Bascomb, Julius Juttner and Galligan
for quitclaim deeds were discussed with attorneys William Wickham
and Richard Lark in attendance.
Trustee Stoutenburghmade a~motion, seconded by Trustee Smith
and carried to table action regarding the quitclaim deed requests
of Bascomb~ Juttner and Galliganuntil the three parties get
together and agree where the property line divisions should be.
The Town Attorney is to be asked if the Town Trustees can place a
condition on these properties that application can not be made for
subdivision.
Jarvis Verity, President of the Baymen's Association, has expressed
his concern regarding soft clamming in the area of the Anchorage.
On motion made by President Hataier, seconded by Trustee
Staples, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to ~he Southold Town Board approval of
the wetland application of. Joseoh and Janet Gold to construct a
timber dock, fixed catwalk, hinged ramp and float at.private
property of the applicant at Haywaters Cove subject to the
following: ~
.1. The catwalk start at ro~d surface rather than two .feet
high.
2. Width of catwalk be three feet rather than four feet.
3. The dock be kept in line with present dock.

Gold to construct a timber dock, fixed catwalk, hingedramp and
float at private property of the applicant at Haywaters Cove
subject to the following: ~
1. The catwalk start at road surface rather than two feet
high.
2. Width of catwalk be~ three feet rather than four feet.
The dock be kept in line with present dock.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Hataier, Kujawski, Smith, Staples,
Stoutenburgh

Trustee Smith made a motion, seconded by President Hataier and
carried to adjourn the meeting. Meeting ~d~ourned at 9:30 p.m.
