RESOLVED to re~urn the $~5.00 application.fee of Charles H. Smith,
as Horseshoe.Cove is~not in.the jurisdiction-of the Board of Southold

On motion made by Mrs. Hataier, seconded by Mr. Smith, it was
RESOLVED to approve'the application of Enconsultants, Inc2 for Howard.
Petersen to expand aA existing 30' x 60' timber loading ramp by 43~ on
north side. Ramp will be supported by steel "I" beams end, will have
timber ~planking. Outer end will be connected to existing steel beams
on pilings. At inner end, a-43' retaining wall will-be constructed

above marsh fringe and 50 cu yds o~ clean loam fill trucked in from
upland source graded to create te~el surface. - Purpose of-ramp extension
is to allow for mo~e 'efficient loading ~nd~unloading ~of commercial fishingf
boats. Width of present ramp allows only~.two trucks°to service boats
at on time. Install approximately 100' of 3' wide catwalk attached to
existing piles to enhance safety for persons'going to and'from com-
mercial fishing boats. Catwalk wilt.~e several feet above MHW and will
be supported by steel bracing attached to existing timber piles. InstaLl
four (+) 12" diameter x 20' timber pile~ as center support:for two
60' x 5' precast ste~l ramps which' are~o extend from~upland to existing
steel "I" beams attached to existing piles. Purpose of~these ramps,
which will be installed adjacent to each other, is to allow light
vehicular traffic (pickup trucks and similar) and~pedestrian traffic to
load material and service barges which-presently use~area,. ~None of the
work is intended to increase boat c~pacit~ of~area but to enhance safety

Affairs'Unit,~Stony~-B~ook,~advising him that the' South01d Town Board
of Trustees is in favor~of2the-buIkheading of approximately 130'~i.of
the south shore of Gull-Pond,asf~applied for~byi~J..Geideman and members
of the Cleaves Point Property Owners Association. Also, if he should
see any problem~ concerning their~applic~ti~n, ,to ~p~lease send

Rublic Works fo~ reconstruction of the bridge carrying New Suffolk
Avenue over West Creek at New Suffolk. Vo~e of Board: Ayes: Mrs.
~ataier, Messrs. Smith, Staples, Stoutenburgh.

RESOAVED to recommend to_the Southold~Town Board approval of the
wetland application of Suffolk:County ~epartment of Public Wqrks
reconstruction of the bridge~carrying New Suffolk Avenu~ 0yer West
Creek at New Suffolk ..... ~- ~.
Mr. Stout~nburgh requested~tha~ with the permit~for the~Suffolk County
Department of Public Works, ~a memo be enclosed to the effect that the
Board was, told at the hearing there would be no problemto'~include a
fishing platform on the West Creek Bridge. Therefore~ the Board
strongly hopes this platform will be included. ~ ....... z~
After conferring wi~n Town Attorney Tasker, Mr. Staples reported that
charges for spoils must be uniform for both_residents and cqmmercia~
concerns.
Mr~ G. Moyle appeared before the Board in regard to the dredging of
Corey Creek. He stated that sandbars from the west and north are
%beginning to mget, making a dangerous situation for ~swimmers with boats
going through. The~Trustees stated~-if they determined .the need, they
would put it on the list of priorities. The Board_also feels it could
be done with a drag line.

Mrs. Eataier will represent the Board at the Southold Town Board
meeting to be held on Fishers Island on A~ugust 12, 1981.
A letter has been sent to ~oy Haje of Enconsultants, Inc., to notify
him that he would have to apply for permits from the Trustees for ~the~
proposed construction of a retaining wall on property of Dr. Alfred
Nadel.
After discussion as t6 Donald DeLalla being in violation 0f his permits,
Mr. Staples suggested we wait for the decision of the Board of Appeals,
in regard to the same case, before coming to any conclusion. The Board
requested Bay Constable Tom Czelatka attend that August 6, 1981, meeting.
Mrs.~ Hataier requested a copy from the Town Zoning Ordinance covering
the mooring of boats be sent to Mr. Roy DeMott in reply to his letter of
request for one.
The matter of the dock extension of Matt-A-Mar Marina and the application
of Mattituck Inlet Marina for dredging were tabled until the next
meeting.
The Board requested a letter be sent to the Southold Town Board re-
questing Frank Kujawski be appointed to the Mattituck Inlet Advisory
Committee with Anna Hataier as his alternate.
The Board requested the letter from Supervisor Pell in regard to his
letter from the West Creek Estates Property Owners Association fer
dredging of West and Goose Creeks be filed for maintenance dredging
in 1982.
On motion made by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Stoutenburgh, it was
RESOLVED to permit Arnold Buffum Lovell to put his float the long way
rather than parallel to the shore as stated in his permit.
Mr. Stoutenburgh reques~ed"it~b'e ~ered into the record that John Wickham
said "no way" would he tak~ a ninety-nine year lease, issued with the

provision the property be used for agricultural purposes only, in
of the quit claim he requested for property located at West Creek.

The Board requested a copy of the letter sent to Ggor~e Sweeney be given
-to ~ay Constable Tom Czelatka so he could determine if the work was done.~
The letter was to advise Mr. Sweeney that he must remove the spoils from
and restore the wetlands on his property; all that was dug out with a
backhoe must be put back.where it was and since he changed the dimensions
of his dock, he must apply to the Board for a permit to cover same.
On motion made by Mrs. Hataier, seconded by Mr. Smith, it was
RESOLVED to approve the renewal of all the September' mooring permits.
There being no further business to come before the Board, Mr. Stoutenburgh
made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Hataier and carried, to adjourn. Meeting
adjourned at 9:00 PM.
