This application must be tilled in by typewriter or ink and submitted to the Building Department with the following:
A. For new building or new use:
(5) Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual natural or
topographic features.

Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
Sworn statement from plumber certifying that the solder used in system contains less than 2/1 0 of I % lead.

of Code Compliance from architect or engineer responsible for the building.

I conducted a strapping inspection of the Katopodis residence located on the Strand in East
Marion New York. Inspection found the building framing to be more than adequately strapped and
otherwise secured to meet the requirements of the current New York State Building Code relative
to 120 mile per hour wind loads.

....ir.'fhis application MUS'f'be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector with 3
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, and waterways.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such a permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose what so ever until the Building Inspector
issues a Certificate of Occupancy.
f. Every building permit shall expire if the work authorized has not commenced within 12 months after the date of
issuance or has not been completed within 18 months from such date. If no zoning amendments or other regulations affecting the
property have been enacted in the interim, the Building Inspector may authorize, in writing, the extension of the permit for an
addition six months. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required.

I have inspected the above property, as per your request; There are footings poured
extending from the front of the dwelling approximately 18 feet. The front door to the
structure is about 12 feet above grade. I spoke to the permit holder and he stated that
the footings were for a set of entry steps. Without plans for these steps, it appears that
they will exceed the permitted projection into the front yard.

WHEREAS, the said Edgewater I is the owner of a parcel of land in the Town of
Southold, County of Suffolk, and State of New York, known as 63615 County Road 48,
Greenport, New York I 1 944(Suffolk County Tax Map No. District 1000, Section 40.00, Block
01.00, Lot 20.001), and the said Edgewater II is the owner ofa parcel ofland in the Town of
Southold, County of Suffolk, and State of New York, known as 63735 County Road 48,
Greenport, New York 1 1 944(Suffolk County Tax Map No. District 1000, Section 40.00, Block
01.00, Lot 20.002), and the said Edgewater III is the owner ofa parcel ofland in the Town of
Southold, County of Suffolk, State of New York known as 63875 County Road 48, Greenport,
New York 11944 (Suffolk County Tax Map No. District 1000, Section 40.00, Block 01.00, Lot
21)
WHEREAS Edgewater I and Edgewater II are contiguous so that the easterly line of
Edgewater I is identical and coextensive with the westerly line of Edgewater II, and the easterly
side of Edgewater II is identical and coextensive with the westerly line of Edgewater III,
WHEREAS each of the said parties is desirous of improving its respective parcel by the
erection of a one-family dwelling house and accessory structures thereon and of building and
maintaining a single common driveway entering off of County Route 48 on the land of
Edgewater II, tax lot number 20.002, and partly on the land of Edgewater I and Edgewater III, for
ingress and egress and utilities thereto and therefrom, from County Route 48 to Edgewater I,
Edgewater II and Edgewater III, Now, therefore,
WITNESSETH:
That, in consideration of the mutual promises herein contained, and one ($1.00) dollar
each to the other in hand paid, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and other good and
valuable consideration, the said parties hereby agree as follows:
The parties hereby mutually grant and convey to the other an easement, for common
ingress and egress, and utilities, beginning from County Route 48 and entering onto the land of
Edgewater II, SCTM No. 1000- 40-1-20.002, then running north along the common property line
of Edgewater I and Edgewater II, SCTM No. 1000-40-1-20.001; and thereafter circling towards
the east to the land of Edgewater III, SCTM No. 1000-40-1- 21, said easement is more
particularly described on the attached plan attached as Schedule "A" .
Each ofthe parties hereby covenants and agrees as follows:
(1) That neither of the said parties, their respective distributees, devisees, personal
representatives, successors or assigns, upon whom this agreement and conveyance shall be
binding and to whom its benefits shall inure, shall in any way impede or obstruct the other party
in the free use of the said portions of the said lots for the purposes set forth above.
(2) That this agreement shall run with the land.
(3) That each of the parties hereto is seized of an estate in fee simple in its respective
parcel and that the same is free of all encumbrances.
(4) That said access may be relocated by either party, as they deem appropriate, as long as
the access is not impeded or obstructed.

Dear Mr. Sarafidis:
The Southold Town Board of Trustees reviewed the survey dated June 28,2002 and
last revised August 14, 2002 and determined the proposed above-ground swimming
pool to be out of the Wetland jurisdiction under Chapter 97 of the Town Wetland Code
and Chapter 37 of the Town Code.
Therefore, in accordance with the current Tidal Wetlands Code (Chapter 97) and the
Coastal Erosion Hazard Area (Chapter 37) no permit is required. Please be advised,
however, that no construction, sedimentation, or disturbance of any kind may take place
seaward of the tidal wetlands jurisdictional boundary or seaward of the coastal erosion
hazard area as indicated above, without a permit. It is your responsibility to ensure that
all necessary precautions are taken to prevent any sedimentation or other alteration or
disturbance to the ground surface or vegetation within Tidal Wetlands jurisdiction and
Coastal Erosion Hazard Area, which may result from your project. Such precautions
may include maintaining adequate work area between the tidal wetland jurisdictional
boundary and the coastal erosion hazard area and your project or erecting a temporary
fence, barrier, or hay bale berm.
However, any activity within 100' of a Wetland line or seaward of the Coastal Erosion
Hazard Area would require permits from this office.
This determination is not a determination from any other agency.

Based on the information you have submitted, the New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation has determined that:
The property landward of the top ofthe bank as shown on the survey by John T. Metzger, dated
6/28/02, last revised 8/15/02, is beyond the jurisdiction of Article 25 (Tidal Wetlands).
Therefore, in accordance with the current Tidal Wetlands Land Use Regulations (6NYCRR Part
661) no permit is required under the Tidal Wetlands Act. Please be advised, however, that no
