This application is being submitted in response to the public hearing held on December 12, 2007. There was substantial confusion regarding this application at that meeting. The result of that hearing was an agreement with respect to the scope of work and also the need for a clear and definitive idea of what site improvements were to stay and what was to be removed or abandoned. The following is a brief summary of the existing permits as we understand them and should detail what the property owners would like to retain and/or construct. Two (2) Town Trustee permit exist for the property; Permit No. 4998 issued Jan. 22, 1999 and Permit No. 4987 issued May 26, 1999. The specifics of each are summarized below: Permit No. 4998: · Easterly jetty; 36'4" with 9' rock jetty at end · Westerly jetty with 8' rock jetty at end · Two (2) short jetties in center of property on either side of 5'x14.5' dock · 5' wide stairway from bulkhead to top of 5'x14.5' dock · 5'x14.5' dock approximately 1' to 1.5' above beach grade · Four (4) undecked pile bents, three (3) with cap timbers · 6'x36.8' deck over the beach · 115' of bulkhead with 29.9' remm on eastem side. · Existing house. Of this permit; the following structures are to remain: · Easterly jetty; 36'4" with 9' rock jetty at end · Westerly jetty with 8' rock jetty at end · 6'x36.8' deck over the beach · 115' of bulkhead with 29.9' return on eastern side. · Existing house. This permit was an approval for work to be completed. The work was not undertaken and it is not the intention of the current property owners to pursue the work covered by this permit. The property owners approve the revocation of permit no. 4987 provided that in doing so, none of the on-site improvements, either existing or proposed by this administrative permit application, are adversely affected. The attached plans C-1 and C-2 detail the site improvements as proposed to be retained and constructed by the property owners.
