GENERAL NOTES ALL CONSTRUCTION SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE cr'n~s OF NEW YORK STATE. 1 , Contractor shall check and verny all dimensions, elevations, openings, etc. ~md conditions at the site prior to startIng of work and shall familiarize himself wtth the intent at fhese plans and coordinate wtth the arcMect! engineer. 2. The Contractor is cautioned to make continuous observations of the existing structures during the performance of his work. Should he become aware of any situations that require turfher investigation or study (such as cracks in masonry or slabs, addnional deflection, etc.) he shail notify the Architect. 14, Existing toundations, walls, columns, siabs, beams, (concrete, steel etc.) are assumed to be in good condition. This must be verified In the field by the Contractor. 15. Contractor shail install all necessary talsework, shoring, bracing and any other construction material or equipment required to completely protect persons and property due to any phase of work, conforming to New York State code. 16. Grading around new construction shall slope away, provide posttive drainage and blend into the existing grades. 17. Provide flashing over door and night drop opening in exferior wall. Provide tlashing under all exterior doors and window sills, provide flashing where concrete is in contact with wood traming. All wail flashing, base cap, thru-wall, and/or counter flashing, etc., as required to prevent the entrance of moisture and water. 3. Drawings and specifications as instruments of service are and shall be used only for the project which they are intended. They are not to be used on any other projects or extensions to this project except by agreement in writing to the architect. 4.
