2. Final Approval !i'om Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage-disposal (S-9 fonn).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Sworn statement trom plumber certifying that the solder used in system contains less than 211 0 of I % lead.
5. Connnercial building, industrial building, multiple residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate
of Code Compliance from architect or engineer responsible for the building.
6. Suhmit Planning Board Approval of completed site plan requirements.

a. This application MUST be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector with 4
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location oflot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, and waterways.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such a permit
. shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose what so ever until the Building Inspector
issues a Certificate of Occupancy.
f. Every building permit shall expire if the work authorized has not commenced within 12 months after the date of
issuance or has not been completed within 18 months from such date. If no zoning amendments or other regulations affecting the
property have been enacted in the interim, the Building Inspector may authorize, in writing, the extension of the permit for an
addition six months. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required.
APPLICATION IS HEREBY MADE to the Building Department for the issuance of a Building Permit pursuant to the
Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of South old, Suffolk County, New York, and other applicable Laws, Ordinances or
Regulations, for the construction of buildings, additions, or alterations or for removal or demolition as herein described. The

GENERAL NOTES
ALL CONSTRUCTION SHALL
MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE

1 , Contractor shall check and verny
all dimensions, elevations, openings,

startIng of work and shall familiarize
himself wtth the intent at fhese plans
and coordinate wtth the arcMect!
engineer.
2. Do no scale drawings. Written
dimensions supersede scaled
dimensions.
9. The owner is responsible for all
required testing and inspections
required.
10. If in the course of construction a
condition exists which disagrees with
thaf as indicated on these plans, the
Contractor shall stop work and notify
the archnect. Shouk! he tail to follow
this procedure, and continue wtth the
work, he shall assume all responsibility
and liability arising therefrom.
11. Contractor to repair and patch (by
hand) any areas altered or damaged
during process of work. Any cabinet
work affected must be repaired to the
Owners' satisfaction.
12. Wherever they are not in conflict
with those specnications, all materials
shall be installed in strict accordance
with the manufacturer's written
specification or materials. Where
manufacturer's recommended details
are used the manufacturer shall be
responsible for the performance of
their project and shall indemnny and
save harmless the Owner, ArcMect
and General Contractor in case of
failure.
13. The Contractor is cautioned to
make continuous observations of the
existing structures during the
performance of his work. Should he
become aware of any situations that
require turfher investigation or study
(such as cracks in masonry or slabs,
addnional deflection, etc.) he shail
notify the Architect.
14, Existing toundations, walls,
columns, siabs, beams, (concrete,
steel etc.) are assumed to be in good
condition. This must be verified In the
field by the Contractor.
15. Contractor shail install all
necessary talsework, shoring, bracing
and any other construction material or
equipment required to completely
protect persons and property due to
any phase of work, conforming to New
York State code.
16. Grading around new construction
shall slope away, provide posttive
drainage and blend into the existing
grades.
17. Provide flashing over door and
night drop opening in exferior wall.
Provide tlashing under all exterior
doors and window sills, provide
flashing where concrete is in contact
with wood traming. All wail flashing,
base cap, thru-wall, and/or counter
flashing, etc., as required to prevent
the entrance of moisture and water.
3. Drawings and specifications as
instruments of service are and shall
be used only for the project which
they are intended. They are not to be
used on any other projects or
extensions to this project except by
agreement in writing to the architect.
4. Contractor shall obtain a building
permil from town prior fa starting any

approvals for work performed from
agencies having jurisdiction thereof.
6. All work shall conform to town,
New York State, O.S.H.A. and all
rules and regulations that apply.

bond, etc.., as required by law.
8. Testing and inspection of subsoil,
concrete, steel welding, H,S. boiling,
controlled inspections, etc. to be in
accordance with the NY State code.
18. All plumbing shall be in strict
contormance with N. Y.S. Building
Construction Code,
19. All electrical work shall be Board of
Fire Underwriter approved and
certificate delivered to Owner.
20. Contractor to verify all lengths,
runs, sizes and access for wiring,
cables, etc.
