MINUTES
The regular meeting of the Board of Southold Town Trustees was ~heid at 7:30 PM
Tuesday, August 3, 1982, at the Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York.
Present were: President Paul Stoutenburgh ~ ·

President Stoutenburgh called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.
On motion made by ~. Bednoski, seconded by Mr. DiVello, it was
RESOLVED to approve the application of James Bogden to place 150 lb. mushroom
mooring at Narrow River, Orient, providing it does not interfere with other
boats or swing into the channel. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh,
Kujawski, Bednoski, DiVello.
On motion made by Mr. DiVe!lo, seconded by Mr. Kujawski, it was
RESOLVED to approve the application of Thomas Occhiogrosso to construct a
20 ftx 6 ft floating dock, 12 ft x 2 ft 4 in ramp and a 65 ft by t~ ft cat-
walk in Corey Creek, Southold. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh,
Kujawski, Bednoski, DiVello.
On motion made by Mr. DiVel!o~ seconded by Mr. Kujawski, it was
RESOLVED to recomme~ to the Southold Town Board approval of the wetland
application ~100 of Thomas & Jacque!ine Occhiogrosso as per above applicatio.~
Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Bednoski, DiVello.
On motion made by Mr. Bednoski, seconded by Mr. DiVel!o, it was
RESOLVED to approve the applications of Agnes Combs to place two offshore
stakes with pulley lines and a 50 lb. mushroom mooring in Richmond Creek,
Peconic, providing none of them interfere with other boats and the boats do
not swing into the channel. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh,
Kujawski, Bednoski, DiVello.
On motion made by Mr. Bednoski, seconded by Mr. Kujawski, it was
RESOLVED to approve the application of Alexander Kaminski to construct a
25 ft x 3 ft dock and a 16 ft x 4 ft floating dock with the provision he
moves it 6 ft to the west, making the catwalk 21 ft from the property line
so the float will be 15 ft from the property line in Goose Creek, South0Id.
Vote of Board: Ayea: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Bednoski, DiVello.
On motion made by Mr. Bednoski, seconded by Mr. Kujawski, it was
RESOLP~D to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of the wetland
application ~102 of Alexander Kaminski as per above application. Vote of
Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Bednoski, DiVello.
On motion made by Mr. DiVello, seconded by Mr. Bednoski, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of the wetland
application ~101 of Friedrich Krug to construct a 58 ft. timber bulkhead
connected to and in line with adjacent existing bulkheads and to maintenance
dredge an area of 58 ft x 15 ft in front of proposed bulkhead to 4 ft below
MLW in made man canal off Budd's Pond, Southold. Vote of Board: Ayes:

RESOLVED to approve the application of Philip Ashley to place 100 lb.
mushroom mooring at Narrow River providing it does not interfere with
other boats. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski,
Bednoski, DiVetlo.

On motion made by by Mr. Kujawski, seconded by Mr. DiVello, it was
RESOL%~D to approve the application of Robert Munch to place a 200 lb.
mushroom mooring in Mattituck Creek providing it does not interfere with
other boats and the boat does not infringe on the channel. Vote of Board:
Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Bednoski, DiVello.
On motion made by Mr. Kujawski, seconded by Mr. Bednoski, it was
RESOLVED to approve the application of Harry Weiland to repair existing
bulkhead in Dawn ~.agoon, off Gull Pond, Greenport. Vote of Board: Ayes:
Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Bednoski, DiVetlo.
On motion made by Mr. DiVello, seconded by ~. Bednoski and carried, the
mooring renewal permits for the month of September were approved.
Several residents from Browers Woods and representatives of the Mattituck
Watchdogs were present at the meeting to voice their objections to the
application of Matt-A-Mar Marina to install four T shape docks in
Mattituck Creek.
Lori Brooks gave her final report on the survey and inventory of Mattituck
Creek and will have a report for the Town Board at their next meeting.
The Board requested a letter be sent to the Town Board so stating.
On motion made by Mr. Kujawski, seconded by Mr. DiVello, it was
RESOLVED to change the original permit fee for a mooring from $!.00 to
$5.00, thereby making the original charge $I0.00 - $5.00 application fee
and $5.00 Permit fee. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh,
Kujawski, Bednoski, DiVello.
Bay Constable Czelatka reported that the Paul Flagg seed clam program is
showing in excess of an 80% survival rate, whereas it is usually only
30% to 40%. The minute clam seed planted in May are now bigger than
nickels and the growth rate has exceeded anyone's expectations.
The next meeting of the Board of Trusteem will be held on Tuesday,
September 7, 1982, at 7:00 PM, in order to hold a work session prior to
the regular meeting at 7:30 PM.
On motion made by Mr. Stoutenburgh, seconded by Mr. Bednoski and carried,
the meeting was adjourned, there being no further business to come before
the Board. Meeting ajourned at 9:30 PM.
