HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-05/04/1982 486 M-~INUTES The regular meeting of the Board of Southold Town Trustees was_held at 7:30 PM, Tuesday, May 4, 1982, at the Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York. President Stoutenburgh called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM. On motion of Mr. Bednoski, seconded by Mr. Smith,~ and carried,, the minutes of the April 6, 1982, meeting were approved. The next meeting will be June t, 1982. On motion made by Mr. Kujawski, seconded by Mr. Bednoski, it was RESOLVED to approve the application._of Rona!d Wesley to place a 75 lb. mushroom in East Creek, Cutchogue, providing the boat will not swing into the channel or interfere with prevl~us£y moored boats. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Smith, Bednoski, DiVello. On motion made by.Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. DiVello, it was RESOLVED to approve the application of Edward Sklavos to place 100 lb. Arshamomaque Pond, Southoid. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. mushroom in Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Bednoski, Smith, DiVello. On motion made by ~Lr. Bednoski, seconded by Mr. ~smith, it was RESOLVED to approve the application of Tom Punch to construct a 20 x 3 ft dock on pilings, 16 x 3 ft ramp and a 20 x 5 ft floating dock at Goose Creek, Southold, providing that boats and float are 15 ft from prgperty line and that..neither will. infringe on-the channel.~ Vote~of Board: Ayes: Messrs. StoDtenburgh, Kujaws~i, Smith, Bednoski, DiVello. On motion made by Mr. Bednoski, seconded by Mr. Smith, it was RESOLVED to~rec,ommend to ~the Southold To~~ Board to approve the Wetland 'application ~92 of Barbara Radar Punch to Construct ~ 20 x 3 ft dock on pitings, ~16 x~3~ft ramp and a 20 x 5~ ft floating dock ~t Goose Creek, Southotd, providing 'tha~ boats ~nd float ~re 15 ft. from property line and that'neitherwi!l infringe on the channel. Vote~of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Smith, Bednoski~ 'DiVello. - .~ On motion made by Mr. Kujawski, seconded by Mr. DiVe!!o, it ~as RESOLVED to approve the application of Eugene & Ellen Steigerwa!d to construct a 39 x. 4 ft catwalk, 12 x 3 ft r~amp and 20 x 8 ft floating dock in Deep Hole Cresk, Mattituck, providing that the dock is parallel to and 15 ft from property lin~; that boats and float are 15 ft from proBerty line and that neither will infringe on the channel. On motion made by Mr. DiVello, seconded by Mr. Kujawski, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board to approve the wetland 487 ?~ O application ~94 of EtlOn & Eugene Steiger~ld as per above application. -~ Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs~ Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Smith, Bednoski and DiVello. ~ ~ On motion made by Mr. Kujawski, seconded by Mr. DiVello, it was - ' - RESOLVED to approve the application of Gerald P. McGinty to replace present mooring poles with a 35 x 3 ft catwalk and ramp and a 14.5.ft x 10 ft float with 2 piles inLong Creek, Mattituck, providing that when docked, the boat does not extend any further into the channel~then-his present permit ~1286 allows. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. On motion made by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. DiVello, it was RESOLVED to approve the application of Harold Kober to place an offshore stake in Richmond Creek, Peconic, providing it'will not.interfere with. previously moo'red boats or infringe o~ the channel. %Vote~of Board: Ayes: Mssrs. On motion made by Mr. Kujawski, seconded by Mr. Smith, it was RESOLVED to approve~ ths application of John OrIowski to place an Offshore stake with pulley line to westerly part'of Park District bulkhead in Mattituck Creek, Mattituck. Vote of Board,: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, ~ Kujawski, Smith, Bednoski and Di~ello .... ~- On motion made by Mr. Stoutenburgh, seconded by Mr. Smith, it was RESOLVED to approve the application of Wunneweta Pond Association to dredge in Wunneweta ~Pondto a maximum depth of 6 ft., maximun length of 65 ~ft., maximum width of.35 ft., providing spoils are spread out along the beach on the north side in area between high and low water mark. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, ~Kujawski, Smith, Bednoski, DiVello. On motion made by Mr. Bednoski, seconded by Mr. Kujawski, it was RESOLVED to approV~ the application of Arthur A. Spangel to construct a 24 x 12 ft float, 12 x 3 ft walkway, 4 x~ ft pad and install three piles in West-Creek~off-Goose Creek, Southo!d, providing it is parallel to the property line; that both ftoat and boats are at least 15 ft. from the property line; ~that neither boats ~r flo~tI interfere with navigation. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Smith, Bednoski and DiVello. On motion made by Mr, DiVeilo~. seconded by Mr. Kujawski, it was RESOLVED to approve the application 'of Ronaid Zito to construct a 28 x 5 ft float, 16 x 3 ft ramp and install 2 piles, providing it is parallel to the property line; that both float and boats are at least 15 ft from ~ the property line and tka~t neithe~ boats .o~ float interfere with navigation. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Smith, Bednoski and DiVellO. On motion made by Mr. ~ujawski, s~conded by Mr. Smith, ~it was 488 RESOLVED to table the application of Matt-A-Mar until soundings.are taken to determine distance proposed T docks would extend into anchorage area. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Smith, Bednoski and DiVello. On motion made by Mr. Stoutenburgh, seconded by Mr. Kujawski, it was RESOLVED to table the application of Joseph Cavalier to construct a dock, ramp, bulkhead and to dredge in Mattituck Creek, ~ttituck until the Trustees hear from the DEC and Army Corps of Engineers. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, DiVello. Nayes: Messrs. Smith and Bednoski. On motion made by Mr. Stoutenburgh, seconded by Mr. Kujawski, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board to hold in abeyance decision on the Wetland Application ~86 of Joseph Cavalier as per above application. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski and DiVello. Nayes: Messrs. Smith and Bednoski. On motion made by Mr. Stoutenburgh, seconded by 5~. Kujawski, it was RESOLVED to table the application of Petersen Towin Corp. to dredge, construct retaining wall, remove point of land which juts into creek, install pilings, walkway, ramp and rip rap in Mattituck Creek, Mattituck, until the Trustees hear from the DEC and Army Corps of Engineers. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, DiVetlo. Nayes: Messrs. Smith and Bednoski. On motion made by ~. Stoutenburgh, seconded by Mr. Kujawski, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board to hold in abeyance decision on the Wetland Application ~86 of Petersen Towing Corp. as per above application. Vote of Board: Ayes: Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, and DiVello. Nayes: Messrs. Smith and Bednoski. The Board agreed to meet with Councilman Murphy, Town Baymen, Town Clerk~ and the Town Attorney on Thursday, May 13, 1982, at 2:00 PM, to discuss amending the Shellfish Ordinance to present before a Public Meeting. The Board requested a letter be sent to Lawrence Brannigan stating the dock he constructed does not conform with his permit. As he is in violation, he must submit a new application and a wetlands application for the dock, ramp and floating dock. In reply to the letter of Agnes Pagnozzi, the Board agreed to give her to the end of the week to remove the piles. On motion made by M~. DiVetlo, seconded by Mr. Kujawski and carried, the mooring renewal permits for the month of June were approved. The Board requested a letter be sent to the Town Board statin~ they would like to meet with the Board at their next work session to discuss hiring Town youths to inventory and survey one of the creeks in Southold Town this summer.
