HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-02/18/1983-S518 MINUTES A special meeting of the Southold Town Trustees was ~ld on Eriday, February 18~.~!9~_at 3:30 PM~ at Town Hal!~ain -~ ~ Road, Southold, New York. ~ Present were: President Paul Stoutenburgh Vice-Pres~ Frank Kujawski Trustee Henry Smith Trustee John DiVello Trustee John Bednoski Clerk I!ene Pfifferling A discussion was held in regard to the proposed legislation, submitted by Attorney Tasker~ in relation to the term of office of the Southold Town Trustees to be changed from two to four years. It was requested that the trustees review this proposal. If acceptable, a letter will be sent to the Town Clerk, Judith Terry, asking her to submit the proposed Legislation to the New York State Legislature for action at the current session° It was agreed by all of the Trustees, that the proposal was acceptable° In regard to ~he Association of Towns Meeting, which is to be held in New York City, Mr~ DiVel!o reported that he would not attend, after being advised funds were not available° Mr. Stoutenburgh told Mr° DiVel!o , after a discussion with Mr. Pell, Mr. Murdock and Mr~ Townsend that if he did want to go, funds could be made available. A discussion was held in reference to a letter received from Mro Pell~ regarding a sign and anchorage buoys in Mattituck Creek° It was requested that Mro Stoutenburgh sit down with Attorney Tasker to go over what the Local Law should include, ~to amend the Town Co~e. All of the Trustees agreed this would be acceptable~ In reference to the application of Constantine Po Georgiopoulos to fill and raise grade of lot off Great Pond, Southo!d, Mr. Stoutenburgh reported~ after speaking to Mr~ Tasker~ that the Trustees do have jurisdiction to make a determination whether this is a wetland or not~ A discussion was held in reference to a dock being put up by Mr~ Sibernagelo Mro Stouter~burgh said he would call Mr~ Haje and ask him to come to the next meeting~ which is to be held on March la 1983o ~ Special meeting adjourned at 4:00 P*~4 As there was no further business to be discussed~ On Motion made by Mr. Kujawski, seconded by Mr~ DiVello and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
