The Regular Meeting of the Board of Town Trustees was held on Tuesday, January 3, 1984 at the Town Hall, Main Road, Southold. Present were: President Henry P. Smith Vice-President Jean Cochran Trustee Frank Kujawski Trustee John Bednoski Trustee John Bredemeyer Bay Constable Donald Dzenkowski Clerk, Ilene Pfifferling President Smith called the meeting to order. On motion made by Trustee John Bednoski seconded by Trustee Cochran and carried the minutes of the December 13, 1983 meeting were APPROVED with the provision that the comment on page 581 paragraph 4 is deleted from the record. On motion made by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Bednoski and carried the mooring renewal permits for the month of F~bruar¥ were APPROVED. NORTHFORK PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT On mo~ion made by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Cochran it was RESOLVED to TABLE the application of the North Fork Property Devel- opment to maintenance dredge, to constru~q~t a timber bulkhead with two returns, ramp and float in Deep Hole Creek, Lot ~21, Mattituck, pending receipt of comments from Mr. Bird, for a period of up to, but no longer than two months. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: Trustee Smith, Cochran, Kujawski, Bednoski, Bredemeyer Page 2 Board of Trustees Jan. 3, ~9~~ ~ NORTH FORK PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT - WETLAND ~176 On motion made by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Cochran it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Town Board to TABLE the Wetland -Application ~176 for the North Fork Property DeVelopment, as per application, pending receipt of comments from Mr. Bird, for a period of up to, but no lOnger than two months. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES; Trustee. Smith, Cochran, Kujawski, Bednoski, Bredemeyer NORTH FORK PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT On motion made by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Cochran it was RESOLVED to TABLE the application of the North Fork Property Development, Lot ~22.to maintenance dredge, construct a timber bulkhead with two returns, ramp and float in Deep Hole Creek, Mattituck, pending receipt of comments from Mr. Bird, for a period of up to but no longer than two months. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: Trustee Smith, Cochran, Bednoski, KujaWski, Bredemeyer NORTH FORK PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT - WETLAND ~177 On motion made by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Cochran it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Town Board to TABLE the Wetland Application ~177 for the North Fork Property Development, as per application, pending receipt of comments from Mr. Bird, for a period of up to, but no longer than two months. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: Trustee Smith, Cochran, Bednoski, Kujawski, Bredemeyer Mr. Sam Ganshaw appeared before the Board and is opposed to the above referenced project. Mr. Ganshaw lives and owns the property immediately across the R.O.W. bordering about 200 Ft. on this property. Mr. George Bird asked Mr. Ganshaw to represent him, seeing that he is away, at this time. Mr. Bird is a neighbor adjacent to where the N. F. Property Development is applying to do work and is opposed to the project also. Mrs. Jean Richards also appeared~-before the~ B~rd and indicated that the area is quite small. She is concerned about the dredging. HOWARD PETERSEN On motion made by Frank Kujawski seconded by John Bednoski it was RESOLVED to approve the applicatiOn of Howard Petersen to construct a retaining wall with return on the west side, to install 3 pilings offshore of existing line of pilings and to string cable between the pilings to allow docking of boats, Mattituck Creek, with the provision that all boats are to be tied landward of the pilings. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: T~u~tee Smith, Cochran, Kujawski, Bednoski, Br'~demeyer Page 3 Board of Trustees Jan. 3, 1984 PIRATES COVE MARINE, INC. - WETLAND 9178 On motion made by Trustee Cochran seconded by Trustee Bredemeyer it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Town Board APPROVAL of the Wetland Application ~178 for the Pirates Cove Marine, Inc. to remove existing marine railway, construct a 30' rock bulkhead and back- fill, with fill from upland source, in inner bay of Great or West Harbor, Fishers Island, with the provision that the guidelines outlined by the DEC are kept. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: Trustee Smith, Cochran, Kujawski, Bednoski, Bredemeyer LEWIS EDSO~ On motion made by Trustee Cochran seconded by Trustee Bredemeyer it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the application of Lewis Edson to construct a timber dock consisting of a fixed elevated catwalk, hinged ramp, and float, secured by two pilings in Goose Creek. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: ~Trustee Smith, Cochran, Bednoski, Bredemeyer, ABSTAINED: Kujawski LEWIS EDSON - WETLAND 9179 On motion made by Trustee Cochran seconded by Trustee Bredemeyer it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Town Board APPROVAL of the Wetland Application #179 for Lewis Edson, as per application. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: Trustee Smith, Cochran, Bednoski, Bredemeyer, ABSTAINED: Kujawski DANIEL SILVERMAN & DR. EDWARD CARTNICK On motion made by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Bednoski it was RESOLVED to TABLE the application of Daniel Silverman & Dr. Edward Cartnick to dredge and to construct a timber dock consisting of a catwalk, ramp and floats in Wunneweta Pond, Cutchogue, until all parties involved are present. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: Trustee Smith, Cochran, Kujawski, Bednoski, Bredemeyer DANIEL SILVERM~5- & DR. EDWARD CARTNICK - WETLAND #175 On motion made by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Bednoski it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Town Board to TABLE the Wetland Application for Daniel Silverman & Dr. Edward Cartnick, as per application, until all parties involved are present. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: Trustee Smith, Cochran, Kujawski, Bednoski, Bredemeyer THO~S & JACEQULINE OCCHIOGROSSO - WETLAND ~151 On motion made by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Bednoski it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Town Board APPROVAL of the Wetland Page 4 Board of Trustees Jan. 3, 1984~ - Application #151 to construct a single family dwelling and to provide access for construction, driveway and off street parking at Corey Creek Lane, Lot ~28, Map of Corey Creek Estates, (Map #4923) Southold. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: Trustee Smith, Cochran, Kujawski, Bednoski, ABSTAINED: Bredemeyer EDWARD R. BURKE On motion made by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Bednoski it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the application of Edward R. Burke to secure a permit for a dock, in James Creek, under the Grandfather Clause. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: Trustee Smith, Cochran, Bednoski, Kujawski, ~redemeyer Trustee Bredemeyer will research the Shellfish Ordinance, and give a report to the Trustees at the nex~ meeting. Trustee Kujawski, on behalf of all of the Trustees, would like to extend thanks to Mr. James McMahon, Community Development Administrator for applying for a special grant-in aid for expansion of municipal boating law enforcement, through the office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Bureau of Marine & Recreational Vehicles. On motion made by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Smith it was RESOLVED that the date for the next regular meeting of this Board will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 1984 at 7:30 P.M.. VOTE OF BOARD: AYES: T. rustee Smith, Cochran, Kujawski, Bednoski, Bredemeyer. -Moved by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Bredemeyer it was RESOLVED that this Trustee Meeting be and hereby is adjourned at 8:50 P.M..
