The minutes of the June 6 meeting, were approved as read.
The bicycle route through Moore's Woods and the streets of Greenport was extensively discussed. The
general consensus was that the specific details of the route through Moore's Woods should be left open,
allowing for design suggestions from the National Park Service and input from the Village of Greenport.
The August 7 meeting of the Village lmprovement District will include a discussion of Moore's Woods,
and members of the Transportation Committee may attend.
The Greenport Village Board would like Dwayne Early to join the Transportation Committee. Neb
extended a welcome and asked them to have Early send a letter expressing his interest to Town Clerk
Judy Terry.
The Resolution on improving the trails in Moore's Woods will go to the next Greenport Village Board
meeting for approval.
The package of information for the National Park Service has been prepared. Letters of support for the
proposal from Senators D'Amato and Moynbihan and Congressman Forbes, Senator laValle, and
Assemblymen Blass and Acampora will. It should be in Boston by August I and we will expect a
response by October 1.
A draft to the Seaview Trails proposal was circulated for comments and corrections.
Our next regular meeting will be Tuesday, August J, 1995 at4PM in Town Hall.
