INSTRUCTIONS
a. This application MUST be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector with 4
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location oflot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, and waterways.
. c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such a permit
shaJJ. be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose what so ever until the Building Inspector
issues a Certificate of Occupancy.
f. Every building permit shall expire if the work authorized has not commenced within 12 months after the date of
issuance or has not been completed within 18 months from such date. If no zoning amendments or other regulations affecting the
property have been enacted in the interim, the Building Inspector may authorize, in writing, the extension of the permit for an
addition six months. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required.

Dear Mr. Brodarick:
The Southold Town Board of Trustees reviewed the survey received on September 6,
2006 and determined the proposed in-ground swimming pool and fence to be out of the
Wetland jurisdiction under Chapter 275 of the Town Wetland Code and Chapter 111 of
the Town Code.
Therefore, in accordance with the current Tidal Wetlands Code (Chapter 275) and the
Coastal Erosion Hazard Area (Chapter 111) no permit is required. Please be advised,
however, that no construction, sedimentation, or disturbance of any kind may take place
seaward of the tidal wetlands jurisdictional boundary or seaward of the coastal erosion
hazard area as indicated above, or within 100' landward from the top of the bluff,
without further authorization from the South old Town Board of Trustees pursuant to
Chapter 275 and/or Chapter 111 of the Town Code. It is your responsibility to ensure
that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent any sedimentation or other alteration
or disturbance to the ground surface or vegetati6n within Tidal Wetlands jurisdiction and
Coastal Erosion Hazard Area, which may result from your project. Such precautions
may include maintaining adequate work area between the tidal wetland jurisdictional
boundary and the coastal erosion hazard area and your project or erecting a temporary
fence, barrier, or hay bale berm.
This determination is not a determination from any other agency.

Dear Mr. Brodarick:
The Planning Board has reviewed your request to clear a 10'-wide area within the
conservation easement on your property in order to bring in equipment for the
construction of a swimming pool, as per your letter dated August 22, 2006. You
indicated that you will replant the disturbed area once construction has been completed.
The Board has no objections to your request as proposed. However, they ask that you
notify them when the clearing is taking place and to provide a specific planting plan for
the proposed re-vegetation. In addition, the re-vegetation should occur by no later than
June1, 2007. If the replanting cannot take place by this date, please notify the Planning
Board.
