A work session of the Board of Trustees was held at 6:00 P.M'. on May 31,
1989, at the Town Hall, Main Road, Southold.
Due to a malfunction in taping these minutes, they will not be verbatim.

I. MONTHLY REPORT:
Trustees Monthly Report for April, 1989 , a check for the amount of
$7,228.00 was issued to Supervisor Murphy for the General Fund.

Landing.
Henry Smith will check moorings in area before the next Board
meeting. Also to review the policy on mooring access at road endings.
IV. ASSESSMENTS:
1. Joseph Cornacchia to construct 3 floating docks, ramp, install
pilings at lot No. 4, Kimberly Lane, Southold, NY.
MOVED by Henry Smith, second by John Bredemeyer, it was RESOLVED to
assess this application as a negative declaration, Vote of the Board:
Ayes, All.
2. En-Consultants on behalf of John Dempsey to construct dock,
walkway, hinged ramp, float and install pilings at property located at on
Wood Road, Peconio, NY. There is a problem with the position of the
dock. Boat tied to dock cannot exceed one third of the distance of the
dock.
MOVED by John Bredemeyer, second by A1 Krupski, it was RESOLVED to assess
this application as a negative declaration subject to proper position of
structure. Vote of the Board: Ayes, All.
3. J.M.O. Consulting on behalf of Walter L. Fink to construct 135'
timber bulkhead and vackfill with approximately 300 cubid yards sand to be
trucked in from an upland source. Property located on Willow Terrace
Lane, Orient, NY.

assess this application as a negative declaration, Vote of the Board:

approximately 9,000 cubic yards clean fill to complete filling of parcel
located on Main road, Southold, NY.
JOHN BPRnEMEYER: I did a salinity test at that site, it is intertidal
marsh, low brackish water, spring fed. How many c~bic yards of fill has
already been deposited there?
FRANK KUJAWSKI: There is a question on the title to the land. Roy Haje
will submit a copy of the deed for review.

5. John Geideman on behalf of Robert Keith to construct 130'
bulkhead on property located on Willow Terrace Lane, Orient, NY.
MOVED by John Bredemeyer, second by Frank Kujawski, it was RESOLVED to
assess this application as a negative declaration, Vote of the Board:
Ayes, All.
6. Patricia Moore. Esq. on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Maggio to
construct single family dwelling with associated sanitary system on
property lOcated on Wells Road, Peconic, NY. CAC approval. Critical
Enviornmental Area requires a long environmental assessment form, to be
treated as type 1. Negative declaration based upon review of the file.

7. John O'Hagan to construct private dock. The house is not located
at the site of the proposed dock. The site of the dock is at the public
access location at the end of Corey Creek Lane. There is not much room
there. Permission from all property owners with access rights will be
necessary before this application can be processed further.

8. En-Consultants on behalf of James and Susan Trentalenge to
install beach plantings and construct stairway on property located at West
Road, Cutchogue, NY. Due to weather conditions, permission granted to
begin planting now.

assess this application as a negative delcaration, Vote of the Board:

9. and 10. J.M.O. Consultants on behalf of Joseph Spitaliere to construct
catwalks, ramps, and floats on two properties located next to each other
on Orchard Lane, Southold, NY.
MOVED by Frank Kujawski, second by Albert Krupski, it was RESOLVED to
assess these applications as a negative delcaration, subject to CAC
review, vote of the Board: ayes, All.

of Frederick Rapp to remove and replace bulkhead and dredge 10 cu. yds. at

approve, John Bednoski, seconded by Albert Krupski. Vote of the Board:

7:34 P.M. - In the matter of the application of Proper T Services on
behalf of Kenneth Coles to construct walkway, ramp, and floating dock at
property located at 1095 Sleepy Hollow Lane, Southold. Jim Fitzgerald was
present. Motion to approve, Henry Smith, seconded by John Bednoski. Vote
of the Board: Ayes, Ail.
7:35 P.M. - In the matter of the application of J.M.O. Consulting on
behalf of John Fife. Approved with stipulations that drywell be installed
near bulkhead and rePlant with native vegetation. Also, replacement of
bulkhead is to be in kind and in place. Motion to approve, Frank
Kujawski, seconded by Albert Krupski. Vote of the Board: Ayes, All.
7:36 P.M. - In the matter of the application of En consultants on behalf
of Lynn Chanin to Construct boardwalk, ramp, and float at property lOcated
on Ha~waters Road, Cutchogue. Roy Haje was present. Motion to approve,
Albert Krupski, seconded by John Bredemeyer~ Vote of the Board: Ayes,
All.
7:37 P.M. - In the matter of the application of Land Use Company on behalf
of Anthony Gambino. Approved with condition that a vegetation buffer be
maintained. Motion to approve, Albert Krupski, seconded by Henry Smith.

7:38 P.M. In the matter of the application of En Consultants on behalf
of James and Frances Klein. Approval with conditions that retaining wall
be constructed from west side of dock to bulkhead on east side, to tie
into neighbors dock, with no disturbance to marsh. Removal of debris is

The following action was taken by the Board of Trustees at its
regular meeting held on July 26, 1990:
In order to correct an error of omission in the minutes of ~ay
31, 1989 regarding the environmental assessment of Peconic
Associates on behalf of PORT OF EGYPT;
A motion was made to insert the words "was resolved to assess
this as a Negative Declaration."
This motion was made by John Bredemeyer, seconded by Henry Smith.
