Pm: Nd%ton Heights Dear Mr. Chairman There are two estimates for the construction of the roads of Hilton Heights, Southold by Mr. Dillenbeck, the engineer for ¥5. Hilton gpo. One ~s a detailed take-off cf the quantities for the construction of the raads as shown on the plans submitted to the Planing Board, %his being estimated to cost The other estimate is very general based on a balance of cut and fills in the grading of the roads at an estimated cost of ~2,~'O.©0. I agree with ~e figure of ~3,$00.00 as an estimated cost for the construction of th, roads as shown on the drawings submitted. It is my ooinion that there should also be ~ leaching basins, bww at the junction of Hilton ~oad and North ~oad to Bayview, and two at junction of Hilton Road an~ the right of way at Mallgraf's orooerty. Each of leaching basin is estimated to cost ~.OO. The bond for the ~oads should be based on an increase of 20f over oresent day costs for the general rise in construction costs? ?his 20~ is based on the rise in cost of cormtruct~on over the last l0 year period of 70~. An additional ~mount of 10~ should be added for administration expenses if ther should be a default. ~n this basis x submit the following report. This amount for leaching basins must be increased by one third because of the small size of this Job.
