Dear Mr. Lark:
The following action was taken by the Southold Town Planning
Board at a regular meeting held May 5, 1980.
RESOLVED that whereas a parcel of property located at
Fletcher Street, Orient, and proposed to be purchased
by Bernard and Phoebe Cohen has existing buildings on
it which will be used as an accessory use to the dwelling
located at Village Lane and Fletcher Street,
Now, therefore, be it RESOLVED that the Southold Town
Planning Board considers it would be a hardship for the
applicant to go through the subdivision of land
procedure and sees no objection to it being added to
the larger parcel as per map #4719G amended November 16,
1979.

Dear Ms. Tolman:
On April 4, 1980 I attempted to file an application for
a minor subdivision in connection with the above-captioned
matter. At the time of the filing you informed me that the
application was not necessary because the Cohens were buying
an adjacent parcel of land which already had existing buildings
on it.
I have discussed this matter with the Cohens and their
attorney and to avoid any further difficulty they would like
to have a letter from the Planning Board stating that a
formal minor subdivision application is not required and in
that the Planning Board considers this a casual sale because
the parcel they are buying has existing buildings on it which
will be used as an accessory use to the Cohens' dwelling.
