In order that employees of the New York Telephone Company and
the american Telephone & Telegraph Company can operate, repair, and
maintain and protect telephone commication facilities during practice
and actual air raid::; anet blackouts, the following regulations will
become effective immediately:

Employees of these Companies will display armbands when
necessary for passage on the streets, roads and highways
in the performance of essential Company duties or when
proceeding to a point where they can assume such duties.
The armband is white and displays a white triangle in a
blue circle. The blue letters "CD" are within the white
triangle and the word "Telephone" appears in blue letter-
ing under the circle.
2.
Identification cards of the New York Telephone Company
and the american Telephone & Telegraph Company will be
used by their employees instead of those issued by this
office. These Telephone Company cards specify the employ-
ee's height, age, weight, color of hair, color of eyes,
and bear the signature of the employee and the signature
of the sponsoring official.
