MINUTES
ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING
TUESDAY, JANUARY 4, 1994
PRESENT WERE:

CALL TO ORDER
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
I. Nomination of President.
On Motion made by Trustee Holzapfel and seconded by Trustee
Wenczel, Albert J. Krupski, Jr. was nominated President of the
Southold Town Board of Trustees. ALL AYES.
II. Appointment of Vice-President.
On a motion made by Trustee Krupski and seconded by Trustees
Wenczel, John Holzapfel was appointed Vice-President of the
Southold Town Board of Trustees. ALL AYES.
III. Old Business:
a. Wetland/Mooring Fees - On a motion made by Trustee
Wenczel and. seconded by Trustee Garrei1 the fee schedule
with the follQwing changes was unanimously adopted.
$3.00 from $2.00 per square foot of docks over Trustee
lands.
No new dredging
Fees listed for mooring only up to 35'
b. Community Marinas:
the Board discussed and decided not to approve any new
community marinas.
c. Road Runoff:
Trustees Holzapfell will work with
the repaying from Porky's to Orient,
Count~ with regard to
d. Shellfish Closures: Some discussion. Will discuss
further at a later date.
e. CEHA: Trustee Garrell will work with the CAC to
develop local policies with regard to the program.
f. Gazza-Leiteri subdivision: Trustee Krupski brought
new Trustees up to date on this ongoing subdivision.
g. Trustee Water Advisory Committee: After a discussion
it was decided to hold off on this committee for the now.
h. State claim in Hallocks Bay: Trustee Krupski Will
talk with the new Town Attorney to find out how she wa~t to
proceed with this case.
i. LWRP: the Trustees wait until the Town Board
appoints members to the committee.
j. Bond Issuance: Bond application will be added to our
application and then submitted to Ray Jacobs for processing for
any projects that will have to bring equipment across the roads.
There will be further discussion with Ray Jacobs to dis~ss
procedure.
IV. New Business:
a. Mooring sticker program: The clerk will order
stickers, one for the mooring and one for the boat, that will
have the mooring number on it and will order a different color
every year. After stickers a~e in place Trustees Wenczel and
Holzapfel will start doing mooring surveys in the creeks.
b. Shellfish Programs: The Board will like to have their
own Shellfish Advisory Co~m,ittee. Trustee Krupski will call
papers and advertise. Note: the next day Trustee Krupski talked
to Supervisor Wickh~am and set up a meeting with the Trustees and
Town Board January 11, 1994 to discuss Shellfish Programs and
other items.
c. Pump-out: Trustees talked ~bout current participation
from marinas with re~ard to pump-out stations. Trustees feel
that the program is going well.
d. USUK: Trustee Hotzapfel will talk to group and
invite them to one of our work sessior~ to discuss their ideas.
e. State/County Road Runoff: Clerk will get updated list
of areas with problems.
f. Trustees rules and regulations: Clerk will put all
Trustees policies in writing.
g. Wickham wetland transfer: Trustee Krupski explained
to the Trustees what the transfer' is about and the also other
lands of Wickham's that are for sale. Trustees are in favor
of.
V. Old Policy:
Mooring: Trustees agree to keep the 35' limit on boats
moored in Town Creeks.
VI. Dredging - Ail new dredging over 100 c.y. automatic type I.
No new dredging in creeks.
Ail new bulkheading automatic Type I.
