Dock catwalks currently four (4) feet wide will be reduced to three (3) feet wide and the proposed floating section shall be increased to rwenty (20) feet in length. The total structure shall not exceed the eurrent length of fifty-four (54) feet (see attached modified Dock Refurbishment Plan). Additionally, the entire dock structure shall be relocated fifteen (IS) feet south (lfthe northern property line. Finally, with respect to my Landscape Plan submitted December 12, 1995, this .letter shall serve as confirmation that the boulder border alona base of bluff line shall stay in line with or lay behind our northern neighbors existing bulkhead (Try saying that one three times fast!). Dock refurbishment shall begin in March and I will await your final approval of the Landscape Plan. As discussed, we anticipate commencement of landscape work in April. Again, thank you and your colleagues, Jill and Diane, for all your collective assistance in this matter. --'-.-.-.. Frank Scavone . . As we discussed this dock is a permitted improvement which is now in need of significant repair to cure long term deferred maintenance. Accordingly, I have commenced discussions with Larry Tuthill, a local dock builder. Larry recommends only partially reconstructing the fixed dock and replacing the final 16' with a floating dock structure The structure itself will be located in the exact same position and will actually be slightly shorter in length then the current 54' structure (please note attached current survey and dock refurbishment plan). This plan is preferable over complete refurbishment of the existing fixed dock structure, as originally discussed, due to the fact that fewer pilings will be required and the outer portion of the dock will be lower to the water thus less obtrusive to the existing landscape. Hopefully, Larry will be able to replace the pilings and attach the stringers this year and I will complete the float and the decking in the spring. Thanks again for your assistance in this matter as well as the foundation work which is now underway. If there are any problems with this plan of action please advise me as soon as possible. GL'.
