HomeMy WebLinkAboutSacred Heart Rectory July 23, 1965 Rev. Leland M. Hogan Assistant Pastor Sacred Heart Rectory Cutchogue, New York 11935 Dear Father Hogan: In repponse to your letter it would be the Board of Appeals suggestion that you find other means of advertising your Barbecue than placing posters at random on trees. Individual owners of trees might well object to this procedure, and it is our opinion that to grant this permission would be to confer a privilege on your9lOup which is denied to all other groups. Pur"er, while the Board of Appeals is sympathetic to your aim, we do not believe this type of advertising to be in the best interest of all of the people in the Town of Southold. There are 25 to 30 churches in the Town of Southold and it is not difficllt to imagine all of these organizations requesting the same permission. Courteously yours, Robert W. Gillispie, Jr. Chairman, Southold Town Board of Appeals RWGjr/bd ~ , SACRED HEART RECTORY CUTCHOGUE.
