Martocchia Supervisor Encl: NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with the provisions of Section 103 of the General Municipal Law, that sealed bids will be received by the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, at the Supervisor' s office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York until 2:30 P.M. on July 9th, 1974, at which time they will be publicly opened and read for the furnishing to the Town of Southold the following: One (1) new mini-bus, or equal, twelve passenger, wheel base 123" minimum; V-8 engine, 302 cu.in. Disp. min. ; fully automatic transmission; power steering and power brakes; five (5) eight ply first line tires and wheels; sliding or hinge side door; 50 amp. alternator; 60 amp hour battery; heater and defroster; seat belts; directional signals; complete undercoating of entire van body; windows all around with vent feature both sides and rear; one color; all equipment necessary to meet state and federal legal requirements. Delivery is to be made at soon as possible, after the awarding of the bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check made payable to the Town of Southold in the sum of $100.00. All deposits except that of the successful bidder will be returned. Upon acceptance of his bid, if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract pursuant to the requirements of the Town Board, then the check deposited as aforesaid and the monies standing to the credit of the same shall be forfeited to the Town of Southold as liquidated damages. If the successful bidder enters into the contract and delivers the vehicle pursuant thereto, the deposit will be returned. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any defect or informality in any bid, should it be deemed in the best interest of the Town of Southold so to do. All bids must be marked "Bid for Mini-bus" and must be signed and sealed, together with the check afore mentioned in an envelope addressed to the Town Board, Town of Southold, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y.
