We are the owners of 9045 Nassau Point Road which is the abutting residence immediately to the south of the Volini property. We had hoped to attend the hearing this Wednesday evening, but it appears that various personal and business complications will prevent our making a special trip to the East End in order to be present at the meeting. In view of our proximity to the project, we wanted to provide some thoughts for the record. The existing residence on the Volini property is in a condition of advanced deterioration and it is located closer to the water's edge than most would prefer today. The proposal by Mr. and Mrs. Volini to remove the residence and to reposition and rebuild is quite understandable. Such a project will involve a series of setback requirements under both Trustee and Zoning guidelines. We are not conversant with all of the current complexities of these requirements. Our hope and expectation simply would be that any site redevelopment plan which the Board of Trustees might approve will be consistent with your current site planning regulations, guidelines and best practices for new residential construction on a property of this nature. We hope that this input is useful to the Board and we thank you for the thoughtful consideration that all of you commit to these discussions. t~~erely' Kathleen and David Kilbride James F. Cutchowae Dear Mr. King: After careful consideration of the Board's comments, t~quests, and discussions that occurred during the 16 May 2007 public hearing on the captioned application, the applicants have relocated the proposed house so as to fall in line with the neighboring dwellings, which will also achieve a 100-foot setback from the crest of bluff. Therefore, the work requested to be authorized pursuant to a Town Wetlands P~m/t would now be limited to the following pwject description: "Demolish and remove existing one-story dwelling and appurtenances; install drywells and undertake other construction activities associated with the construction of a new, two-story, one-family dwelling located 100 feet from the crest of bluff and beyond Chapter 275 jurisdiction; and plant with native vegetation a 15-foot non- tuff buffer to be established adjacent to the crest of bluff, all as depicted on the revised site plan prepared by Nathan T. Corwin III, L.S., last dated June 18, 2007." We trust that the Board can now move toward petaiit issuance based on this revised site plan, three (3) copies of which are attached hereto.
