HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/09/1990 . LWRP ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MAY 9, 1990 MEMBERS PRESENT: STEVE LATSON, RICHARD WILTON, PETER KREN DON STANTON, BILL LIEBLEIN & ELLEN LARSON Ellen advised that she informed the Town Board of the status of the Local Waterfront Advisory Committee. She gave each member a copy of a job description that she wrote up for Scott for them to read over and give their opinions. Everyone thought it was fine. Steve suggested the pay to be at least $10.00 an hour. Scott will also attend committee meetings. He would be the liason that the committee needs. Ellen read an anaylis that she had prepared last September on what had been spent on the waterfront. She had submitted it to the State after the Grant had run out hoping that they could move money from uncompleted tasks to completed tasks and award us a little more, but it did not work. Total spent to date on project $32,522.73 less $15,000.00 - Cost to Town $17,522.73. Ellen also read letter dated April 18, 1990 from John Bredemeyer who is president of the trustees. To: Supervisor Harris - with the Local Waterfront Revitalization Committee becoming more and more active, after its long dormancy, would it not be wise to consider putting several trustees on this committee? With substantial holdings of Public lands underwater and most of its marine commercial activities taking place within our jurisdiction that we find ourself continuing in such a defective committee structure". This came up for discussion before the Town Board. There is really no need to expand the committee because this is a public meeting and if any of the trustees wanted to come, they could. Ellen did ask the Supervisor if he could write letters to the President or Chairman of the ZBA, Planning Dept. & Trustees and ask them if they would send a member of their board to these meetings, preferably someone that is familiar with the water. Supervisor said he would do that. We will see if anybody comes.
