Development
The flood plain area between Goldsmith's Inlet and Horton's
Point currently undeveloped should remain that way. This
includes the area between Lake Drive & Leeton Drive.
This whole area is full of wet areas-a sort of continously
broken wetland

Recommend a "roll-up" ramp for boats at Goldsmith's Ialet
Ramp should be either metallic or synthetic material-longevity

Recommend the Park at Horton's Point be opened to the public
for longer periods of time

The Board of Directors of Kennev's Beach Civic A~sociation would like to
convey to you the results of ou~ discussions regarding local area goals and
objectives relevant to Waterfront Revitalization. It is our hope that in
so doing we can be of assistance in formulating the plan presently in
preparation.

The local area we are addressing extends from Horton Point on the east end
and Duck Pond Poin~ on the west -2nd. The sOl::.hern boundary ~s Route 48.
The following are the summary goals and objectives in our ar'ea of concern:
1. Restoration of uRi.o!' ""'lid littoral drift along the shorefront
between Duck Pond Point and nortou Point.
2. Stabilization and maintenance of the p~blic beaches and
properties between Duck Pond and Horton Point.

3. Establishment of an ongoing dredging and bypaSSing policy
for lOCations requiring such service; e.g~ Goldsmith Inlet.
4.
Estab1ishment of a monitoring program for future snorefront
.development to assure consistency of new development with the
pr~sent character of the area.
