Valerie met with Szepatowski Associates. The draft copy should be here around 3/1/88. They will not be paid until the draft is prepared and delivered. Valerie has a meeting scheduled with Peter Walsh, but may postpone it until the draft arrives. She will be asking if there is additional State money to be had to cover the re-write. Valerie will try to get the working maps of the Inlet from the County. The map was done for the Mattituck Creek Watershed Study Phase I, 1981. Phase 2, apparently, was never done by either the Town or County. Next Meeting will be 3/8/88. Individual comments on the Sub-areas are on the attached pages. 'y,4C-LWRP . 2/23/88 ( ( - . SUB-AREA J. Development question was posed whether we should encourage Town enact code or regulations establishing setbacks from water, wetlands, bluffs, or require reasonable building envelopes be established on all parcels proposed for approval building envelopes should be large enough to accommodate typical construction without requiring ZBA action or approvals present and 75' codified requirements from wetlands are J 00' setback from bluff there is no present definition of bluff or edge of bluff for new waterfront subdivisions, question was posed should we encourage park & playground use of beach (one example is Honeysuckle Hills, Mattituck) if so, lot line should be set at base of bluff, so that entire bluff face is responsibility of the lot Owner require contour lines on all subdivision plans require true bluff line on all Sound front subdivision maps suggestion we consider limiting stairs to beach, especially on the bluffs - perhaps J per subdivision, or I per two or more lots , , <:AC-LWRP oh./23/88 ( ( SUB-AREA 2. Recreation access to Sound & Inlet is limited, especially to general Town residents (non-Park district residents) & visitors 3 types of access to be considered: a) town residents b) non-town residents c) commercial users do we encourage or permit baymen in residential areas, or do we provide docks/ramps for baymen should we recommend Town Park District instead of individual districts recommend Town boat ramp next to the Mattituck Park ramp on the Inlet, and a ramp at mouth of the Inlet location for commercial boat use) District (good Federal Mooring area on Inlet- promote & upgrade??, encourage use?provide access? dingy dock at Park Dist or Town ramp? Marinas-pumpout facilities, upland shower/toilet facilites to discourage use of boat facilities while at docks recommend acquisition of beach front bluff areas for public access, overlook area, scenic views suggested areas, Firing Point, end of Duck Pond Rd., Macari property to west of Inlet
