States, paid by Benjamin B. Rogers, residing at No. 526 Main Street,
in the Village of Greenport, -Town of Southold,. County of Suffolk
and State of New York, and upon the condition hereinafter expressed, "-
we have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant
unto the said BENJAMIN B. ROGERS, the owner of the land adjacent
to the land hereinafter described, his grantees, heirs, devisees or
successors in interest (hereinafter referred to as the "Patentee"),
the following described land under water, to wit:
All that parcel of land, now or formerly under the waters of -
Greenport Harbor, in the Village of Greenport, Town of Southold,
County of Suffolk and State of New York, bounded and described as
follows:
—Beginning at the point of intersection of the Original High
Water Line of Greenport Harbor with the easterly line of Main Street;
said point being South twenty-six degrees, six minutes, twenty-four
seconds East, three hundred thirty and thirty-five one-hundredths
feet from the U. S. Engineers Monument at the northwest corner of
Front and Main Streets; thence along said Original High Water Line
North seventy-six degrees, six minutes East, one hundred twenty-four
and eight one-hundredthe feet to the boundary line between the prop-
erty of Benjamin B. Rogers and the property of The Smith Meal Com-
pany, Inc.; thence into the waters of Greenport Harbor the follow-
ing bearings and distances: South eighteen degrees, seven minutes,
forty seconds East, one hundred twenty-one and eighty-five one-hun-
dredths feet; South seventy-one degrees, fifty-two minutes, twenty
seconds West, thirty-three and seventy-five one-hundredths feet;
North eighteen degrees, seven minutes, forty seconds West, forty-six
feet; and South seventy-one degrees, fifty-two minutes, twenty sec-
onds West, ninety feet to the prolongation of said easterly line of
Main Street; thence along said prolongation North eighteen degrees,

even minutes, forty seconds West, eighty-five feet to the point of
beginning; containing eleven thousand five hundred four square feet,
more or less.
