THIS INDENTURE made the 17th day of January 1968,
BETWEEN Jane DiLalla Lauwers, residing at Greenport, New York, as
administratri. of the estate of Joseph F. DiLalla, late of Greenport, New
York, deceased, party of the first part, and
Jane DiLalla Lauwers, residing at Greenport, New York, party
of the second part,
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, the said Joseph F. DiLalla, before his death, and on the 16th
day of October 1954, by a contract bearing said date agreed with the party
of the second part and one Henri Lauwers to sell and convey to the party of
the second part the interest of said Joseph F. DiLalla of, in, and to the
premises hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said Joseph F. DiLalla died intestate without performing said
agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars,
paid by the party of the second part, the party of the first part, by virtue of
her authority aforesaid, does hereby grant and release unto the party of
the second part, her heirs and assigns forever,
ALL of the interest of the said Joseph F. DiLalla, deceased, of, in, and
to all that certain plot, piece or parcel of land with the buildings and im-
provements thereon erected, situate, lying, and being in the Village of
Greenport, Town of Southold, County of Suffolk and State of New York,
bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on thewesterly side of Third Street (or
Railroad Avenue) formed by the intersection of the southerly line of land now
or formerly of Parmeanus Jackson with the said westerly line of Third Street;
running thence westerly, in a straight line along the southerly.line of lands
now or formerly of Jackson, Morris Appelt, Wright Estate, and Joel Raynor,
to lands now or formerly of Bradley S. Wiggins, deceased; thence southerly,
along said last mentioned lands, to the northeast corner of lot 6 as shown on
a certain map of said Bradley S. Wiggins Estate; thence easterly, along the
northerly lines of lots 7, 8, and 9 on said map to the northwest corner of
lot 10; running thence northerly, and along the westerly line of land now or
formerly of.David Preston, to the northwest corner thereof; running thence
easterly, along the northerly line of land now or formerly of Preston, 100
feet to the westerly line of Third Street; running thence northerly, along the
westerly line of Third Street, to the point or place of beginning.
TOGETHER with that portion of Third Street lying adjacent to the said
premises to the center line thereof.
