Gutters are to connect to leaders which are to run off into drywells underground. Drywells are to be 10'-0" (min.) away from all buildings. 1). Install 3/4" T&G subfloor over floor joists. Plywood to be screwed into joists with 2" long stainless steel screws. Adhere plywood to joists with PL400 or approved equal. 2). Apply 1/4" thick AC exterior grade plywood over subfloor. Surface to be smooth and clean. Smooth out any rough areas. Fasten with 1-1/4" ring -barb copper nails. Heads are to be flush. Space nails at 6" OC along sheet edge and 12" OC in field. All Fasteners to be flush with plywood. 3). Use 60 -mil. EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolmer) membrane over AC plywood. EPDM is to be clean and talc free. Adhere as per manufacturers recommendations. DO NOT INSTALL IN TEMPERATURES LOWER THAN 40° F. Allow ends to transition up sidewall terminations by at least 9 to 12 inches and hang over edges by 3 to 6 inches. Sheets should overlap by 6 inches and should be sealed. The overlapping surfaces must be kept clear of adhesives. Review manufacturers instructions. DO NOT cut membrane to create inside corners. EPDM is to fold back on itself in a triangular flap, adhere and seal in place against wall. Outside corners are to be cut to fit and double layer over the corner. The first layer should overlap by 3 inches on one side and 6 inches on the other side of corners. Repeat the second layer the opposite way. Adhere and seal where needed. Round off all corners on patches to resist snags and uplift. 4). All flashing is to be lead coated copper. Use where ever necessary to protect the membrane against any possibility of puncture. Leave a narrow exposed strip of flashing above decking along building wall(s). Flashing to be 12" (min.) wide along walls and is to be installed over membrane (which is to go further up the wall than the flashing). Install perimeter drip -edge over EPDM along all runoff areas. Drip -edge is to be bent away from building into the gutter. All seams are to be soldered. 5). 2x6 ACQ sleepers are to be placed over membrane. DO NO FASTEN.
