WHEREAS, pumuant to the provisions of the Suffolk County Improvement Act the
above entitled proceeding was duly instituted by an Order of the Supreme Court which was
duly Sled in the Office of the County Clerk of Suffolk County on the 2nd day of
November , 196 6 , and that thereupon title in fee simple to the property to be
aacquired in said proceeding became vested in the County of Suffolk, New York, and the
u� i proceeding continued for the purpose of determining the compensation to be made to the
owners of the real property to be acquired in this proceeding is to be ascertained by the
Court without a jury,.and
WHEREAS, immediately prior to the vesting of title as aforesaid in the said County of
Suffolk

owned the parcel of property acquired as aforesaid and designated in said proceeding
as Map No. 8 which said parcel of property is more particularly described as
follows:
ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the Town of Southold, County
of Suffolk, State of New York, for park purposes, and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the division line between the lands of the
Julia O. Bell Estate and Others, reputed owners an the east and the land, of
Rosalind C. Newell, reputed owner on the west, at its intersection with the
average high water line of Long Island Sound; thence generally northeasterly
along the said high water line a distance of about 675 feet to a paint on the
division line between the lands of the Julia O. Bell Estate and ethers, reputed
owners on the west, and the lands of C. Hedgins, repifted owner on the east,
the tie line between the points on the said high water line bearing
N 500 41' 20-- E, 674.99 feet; thence S 400 341 5011 E, along the last mentioned
division line 455.00 feet to a point at the northwesterly corner of Let No. One
as shown on a map entitled "Map of Acres of Diamonds" and filed in the office
of the Clerk of Suffolk County, as File No. I128; thence S 260 00, 201,E, through
the lands of the Julia O. Bell Estate and others, reputed owners, 195.77 feet to
a point at the southwesterly corner of the said Lot No. One;thence
S 110 441 2011 E, along the division line between the lands of the Julia O. Bell
Estate and others, reputed owners on the west, and the lands of Claude Hodgins,
-reputed owner on the east, 205.93 feet to a point on the division line between the
lands of the Julia O. Bell Estate and others, reputed owners on the north, and the
lands of The S. F. Overton Estate. reputed owner on the south; thence generally
southwesterly, along the last mentioned division line (line between meadow and
upland) as it winds and turns to a point on the average high water line of Goldsmith's
(Peconic) Inlet, the tie line between the last mentioned points being
S 680 50, IOir W, 249.49 feet; thence generally westerly along the last mentioned
high water line a distance of about 357 feet to a point eno the first mentioned division
line, the tie line between the points on said high water line bearing S 840 491 50" W,
356.97 feet;thence N 400 341 5011 W along the first mentioned division line 550.00
feet to the point of beginning; being 30.91 acres more or less. as shown on a map
on file in the office of the Commissioner of Public Works of Suffolk County.
