RE: Private Roa,d # 22~ Application to Chan,qe Name
Dear Mr. Verity:
Mn James Richter, Town Engineer, advised that pursuant to Southold Town
Code 237-24 (c) that in order to change the name of a Private Right-of-VVay a
letter signed by all the homeowners must be submitted to your office.
Accordingly, this letter shall serve as an application to change the name of a
Private Right-of-Way.
The Right-of-Way in question is currently known as Private Roads # 22 by the
Town of Southold (sec. 76 -Block 1-lot 15.1). The homeowners are extremely
concerned about safety issues by not having this Right-of-Way designated on
any map, thereby possibly delaying a prompt response by emergency vehicles.
The homeowners would like to rename Private Road # 22 to Ripple Water Lane.
Below is a list of each property with the current homeowners name. At your
discretion please issue house numbers if this request is approved.
