Southold, NY 11971 RE: LEE & ROBERT CASSANO 3225 NASSAU POINT RD., CUTCHOGUE SCTM#111-9-1 Dear Mr. Haspel, The Southold Town Board of Trustees reviewed the survey prepared by Joseph A. Ingegno last dated October 30, 2006 and determined the proposed three-car garage to be out of the Wetland jurisdiction under Chapter 275 of the Town Wetland Code and Chapter 111 of the Town Code. Therefore, in accordance with the current Wetlands Code (Chapter 275) and the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area (Chapter 111) no permit is required. Please be advised, however, that no construction, sedimentation, or disturbance of any kind may take place seaward of the tidal and/or freshwater wetlands jurisdictional boundary or seaward of the coastal erosion hazard area as indicated above, or within 100' landward from the top of the bluff, without further authorization from the Southold Town Board of Trustees pursuant to Chapter 275 and/or Chapter 111 of the Town Code. It is your responsibility to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent any sedimentation or other alteration or disturbance to the ground surface or vegetation within Tidal Wetlands jurisdiction and Coastal Erosion Hazard Area, which may result from your project. Such precautions may include maintaining adequate work area between the tidal wetland jurisdictional boundary and the coastal erosion hazard area and your project or erecting a temporary fence, barrier, or hay bale berm. Request for letter of Non Jurisdiction To whom it may concern, I am writing this letter on behalf of Lee and Robert Cassano who are the home owners for this property. The Proposed Project consists of removing an existing two car garage and replacing it with a three car garage in the same location. There will be storage above the garage. The height will be 17 feet to the average existing grade. The proposed garage is approximately 120 feet landward of the existing top of slope as indicated on the attached survey prepared by Joseph A. Ingegno ( file No. 99-638B). I hereby request a letter of Non- Jurisdiction from the Board of Trustees. If there are any questions please call. encl.
