Hi Lauren,
it was nice speaking with you yesterday. Please find attached some photos of the current vegetation seaward of
the brick patio at our property at 300 Jackson. As you can see in the language of the permit (pasted below), we
have been instructed to remove these plantings and install American Beachgrass. We wanted to double-check
that you did indeed want us to pull out what is there (which was there when we bought the property). There
seems to us to be quite a lot of beach grass mixed in as it is right now.
Many thanks,
Kevin

Gentlemen:
I enclose herewith plans marked "not for construction" on behalf of Mr. and Mrs.
Ferro. You had previously issued an administrative permit regarding this project. These plans are
slightly different from the plans previously prepared and submitted by Samuels and Steelman
Architects. The Building Department has advised me that it is ready to issue a modified Building
Permit but that we first need a modified letter or administrative permit from you. Please review
these plans and issue your administrative permit as modified at your early convenience.
I enclose herewith check payable to the Town of Southold in the sum of $50.00 as
directed by your clerk.
Thank you.
Very truly yours,

Dear Mr. Yakaboski:
The following action was taken by the Southold Town Board of Trustees at their Regular

RESOLVED, that the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVE the Amendment to

plans prepared by James Merrell Architects P.C. dated April 26, 2007, with the condition
drywells are installed to contain the roof run-off, the chain-link fence is removed and
replaced with a split-rail fence, and the area seaward of the brick patio is re-planted with
American Beachgrass.
This is not a determination from any other agency.
