Minutes of the Organizational Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the
Mattituck Park District held on January 11,2007, in the office of the Veterans Park
Building at 11280 Peconic Bay Boulevard with Commissioners Tom McCaffery and
Jerome Zuhoski and Gerard Goehringer present, together with John Cushman, Treasurer,
Madeline Haas, Secretary, Gail Faircloth, Clerk, Edward Grohoski, Maintenance, Mr.
Williamson, volunteer worker, Abigail Wickham, Attorney, Mike Ryan, Volleyball
Manager, and John Hudson, Scout Leader of Mattituck's Troop 39.
Mike Ryan was asked to speak and he said he was present to give the informaion
of the volleyball summer program. The games for his team will be played on Mondays
as they have been in the past, commencing May 14,2007 and terminating on August 27,
2007. Their tournament will be August 25,2007 with a rain date of August 26, 2007.
Gail will send him the application for a permit for the use of the Breakwater volleyball
court. Mike said anyone can become involved. Jerry Zuhoski asked Mike Ryan about
the insurance. Mike said his insurance has not expired. from last year. It will expire in
June and he will then have it renewed and send the correct paper to Gail. Mike said he
assumes that the nets and the maintenance of the court will be the same as last year. The
answer of the Commissioners was "Yes".
John Hudson was asked to speak. He said he was aware of the breakage of things
at the Lodge and they will be taken care of by the scouts. He asked for permission to
hang a bulletin board on the wall in the Lodge between the two bathrooms.
Commissioners said it was alright to do so. John also said he was asked by the adults if
something can be done with the roadway into the Lodge. He understands about the wet
lands but it is a mess down there. Mr. Goehringer asked Ed Grohoski if something can
be done with the roadway with the rake for the tractor. Ed to look in the building at
Breakwater to see ifthere is a blade and rake for the tractor stored up there to do
something with the Lodge road. Ed said he will check. John Hudson thanked the
Commissuibers for granting permission to put up a bulletin board and he was sorry about
the breakage and he will see to it that things get better and he left.
This being the first meeting of the new year there are rules and regulation that
have to be done.
Commissioners appointed Gerard Goehringer Chairman of the Board for the year
2007 and Jerome Zuhoski as Deputy Chairman..
On motion of Gerard Goehringer seconded by Jerome Zuhoski and carried
Madeline Haas was appointed Secretary for the year 2007
On motion of Gerard Goehringe seconded by Jerome Zuhoski and carried, North
Fork Bank and MBIA/CLASS were named banking institutions for the year 2007.
On m;otion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Jerome Zuhoski, and carried;
Wickham, Bressler, Gordon & Geasa were appointed legal counsel for the Board ofRECEIVED
Commissioners for the year 2007.

On motion of Gerard Goeh;ringer, seconded by Jerome Zuhoski, and carried,
Suffolk Times newspaper was appointed legal publication of the Board of
Commissioners for the year 2007.
On motion of Jerome Zuhoski, seconded by Tom McCaffery and carried the
minutes of the October, 2006, November 16,2006 and December 14,2006, were
approved as presented.
On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Tom McCaffery and carried, the
Treasurer's report was approved and the following bills ordered paid:

Edward Grohoski said the chain is up at the Yacht Club to keep out the traffic.
Mileage reimbursement was discussed and on motion of Gerard Goebringer,
seconded by Tom McCaffery and carried, the reimbursement for mileage will be forty-
four ($.44) cents per mile for the year 2007.
The Aldrich Lane site was discussed and a buffer made of 8 foot 6 x 6s
is to be installed in front of the fence and leave a thirty-six inch (36") space for walking
through.
Batbrooms were discussed for Aldrich Lane. Mr. Williamson to have his
architect friend draw up something and get the codes that have to be used. There will be
built with handicap access.
The Certificate of Occupancy for Veteran's Park new building was discussed.
John Ehlers is working on the location of the piping and cesspool on the property. Gail
Wickham is to speak to Planning Board about the cesspool..
On motion of Tom McCaffery, seconded by Jerome Zuhoski and carried, the
back stop at the Yacht Club site is to be refaced. Also the left and right benches where
the kids sit have to be worked on..
The Commissioners talked about what can be done with the tennis courts on Bay
A venue site. Looking into the matter.
The white picket fence at Love Lane site is rotting away. Edward Grohoski said
he will remake it.
On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Tom McCaffery and carried the
following resolution was adopted:
