Ed Mooney and Tanya Negron, Highlander Consultants, and Abigail Wickham, Attorney
for the Park District, and Gerard Goehringer, Commissioner, who entered late due to a
previous meeting.
Mr. Grohoski had a number of things to discuss. He needs new blades and belts for the
mower. He got an estimate of$350 from Carl's equipment for a new 8" tube for the
Billy Goat. He said he bought 35 gallon pails of paint at 25% off for $72.00. New
shades and blinds were put in at the Lodge and on Wednesday one new shade was broken
and a ceiling tile and a table top were damaged. The scouts had been in there for their
meeting. He had to install a new thermostat in the meeting room at Vets Park because he
couldn't turn the heat down. He needs 40' of#6 electrical wire and a 250' roll of#1O
wire to run from new building to the little gray building. He also needs 3 new toilet seats
to code.
Mr. Grohoski has not had any luck getting in touch with the lady from the
Lioness' organization about the beach chair.
Mr. Grohoski had a letter from the Board of Health. He was to appear or be fined.
Mr. Grohoski put spiles up at the Lodge parking lot just to hold the bank back..
Mr. Goehringer entered the meeting and Mr. Mooney and Tanya came in. They
were discussing the tower and they need to get going. They have to start lining things up
but have to know what is being done about a public referendum. Gail Wickham said we
need to advertise for a meeting of the resident taxpayers. She also asked what the money
was per pole. She was told the rent on one pole was $15,000.00 and the tower can hold
six carriers. Gail also asked the life expectancy of the tower and Mr. Mooney said 60
years. Permits have to be gotten from the ZBA and DEC by the man who wills be
building the tower. After general discussion, the consultants left.
The meeting was called to order at 8: 15 p.m.
