Mrs. Schnieder and Mrs. Milowski then spoke. They said a member of the
Lioness organization had died and they wanted to ask ifthey could donate a wheel chair
to the Park District in her name. The Commisioners said it was a very nice thing to do
but they would have to get some information on whether the wheel chair could be pushed
in the sand. The ladies then said that if the chair cannot be used because of the sand
being to soft, they would like to donate a bench with the woman's name on it.
The Commissioners said they would find out about the sand and would be glad to
let the ladies know and either one of the two things would be accepted with thanks.
The Commissioners have received an Incomplete Notice of the Final approval for
Suffolk County Department of Health Services -Office of Wastewater Management.
There are six items checked to be done.
A Mr. Moshier attended the meeting with a design he had made up of a structered
slab of concrete for the tennis courts at Bay Avenue. He had done this design at the
request of Mr. Goehringer. The Commissioners present said they would get back to him
after they had a chance to discuss it with Mr. Goehringer.
Mr. Ross then spoke about the lights at Aldrich Lane. Ed Grohoski said he talked
to Jim McMahon about a light at Aldrich Lane parking lot. He said he had forgotten
about it but he will get one light on the pole that is in.
Mr. Ross said that the Town had $100,000 and we would get $40,000.00 of it for
lighting at the Laurel soccer field.. Mr. Mason of Rev co submitted a plan which is on file
in the Secretary's hands. The Commissioners discussed it and would like to wait for Mr.
Goehringer's return and discuss it further. Mr. Williamsom suggested getting a suvey of
the fiel and then he would rule up where you have to put the lights.
No further business to come before the meeting, on motion Jerome Zuhoski,
seconded by Tom McCaffery and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
