Landowners requested meeting with LPC – 11:30 a.m. appointment.
Landowners, Tom & Susan Lomangino, and their attorney, Patricia Moore, met with LPC members to
discuss possible interest in the land preservation program. Two concept plans – standard subdivision
and conservation subdivision – were discussed. Landowners favor conservation subdivision, having
six lots on farmland facing the creek, and three in the wooded area, a reserved area around the
existing house, and a reserved area around the riding arena that may eventually be subdivided from
the property. Landowners expressed their interest in donating a small piece of the property (1-2
acres) to The Nature Conservancy for their trailhead parking area to eliminate their potential
possibility of liability for the public that now uses their land as a parking area.
LPC expressed some concerns with the design of the farm/PDR area. LPC suggested that they make
an appointment to discuss their plans with the Planning Department to see what they would require
as to lot configurations, etc. and then return to Land Preservation Committee for further discussions.
