ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE MINUTES
November 2, 2006

Present were: Chairman Sanford Hanauer, members Skip Lee, Ronald McGreevy, Nicholas
Planamento, Ural Talgat, Elizabeth Thompson, Landmarks Preservation Commission Chair
James Grathwohl, Senior Site Plan Reviewer Bruno Semon, Senior Planner Amy Ford, ARC
Secretary Linda Randolph, Land Preservation Coordinator Melissa Spiro, and project reps.
The minutes of the October 5, 2006 meeting were approved.
Ron McGreevy reported attending a meeting on wind turbines. After discussion, a motion was
made in favor of the concept of wind turbines, with anticipation of further information regarding
particular parcels of land. Motion: Ural; Second: Elizabeth.
Held Open Applications:
• Shinn Winery (potato barn/storage) SCTM: 1000-100-4-3.1
Ms. Spiro addressed the Committee on the Land Preservation Committee’s perspective of the
Shinn Winery Site Plan. The Committee voted unanimously to table this. Committee to draft
letters of recommendations to (1) Planning Board and (2) other Town agencies.
• 13235 Main Road (King) SCTM: 1000-140-3-37
Committee voted unanimously to table.
Revisited Applications:
• Cutchogue New Suffolk Free Library SCTM: 1000-109-6-2.2
Committee voted condition approval pending receipt of changes in drawings modifying entry
dormer. Motion: Ural; Second; Elizabeth.
• Fishers Island Community Center SCTM: 1000-12-1-5.1
Committee reviewed letter received from Chip DuPont, and voted to approve as submitted.
Motion: Ural; Second: Elizabeth.
The meeting adjourned at 5:20 p.m.
