HomeMy WebLinkAboutL 3163 P 149 THIS INDENTURE, made the L'day ofd�u-••^dov, Nine- teen hundred and fifty, between FISHERS ISLAND ESTATES, INC., a New York corporation, having its principal office at 14 East 52nd Street, 1n the City, County and State of New York, hereinafter called the grantor, party of the first part, and ROBERT LEESON, residing at 106 Angell Street, Providence 6, Rhode Island, hereins fter called the grantee, party of the second part: WITNESSETH, that the party of the first part, in consideration of One hundred Dollars ($100.), lawful money of the United States, and other good and valuable considerstio; paid by the party of the second part, does hereby grant and release unto the party of the second part, his heirs and assig forever, ALL that lot or parcel of land in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, State of New York, being a part of that portion of Fishers Island belonging to the grantor (which portion is hereinafter called the *Park•) lying easterly of the following line, i fix.: BEGINNING at the southeasterly corner of land owned by the United States, known as the Fort H. G. Wright Military Reservation Mont Prospect Tract, on the shore of Block Island Sound or the Atlantic Ocean (as said Tract was constituted prior to the extension thereof by the acquisition of additional lands in condemnation proceedings instituted in 1942) and running thence northerly following the East boundary of the said tract of land of the United States (as same was constituted prior to such extension then« to the southerly line of East End Road (sometimes called Oriental Avenue) and which point is the northeasterly corner of said tract of land of the United States (as same was constituted prior to such' extension thereof), thence crossing the East End Roa and following the same course as the last to the sho e of West Harbor or Fishers Island Sound; Said lot or parcel of land being bounded and described as follows: BEGINNING at a stone monument set on the North- westerly side of a road forty feet wide, said nona- mnt being three hundred and twenty nine and ninety- ix hundredths feet North of a point which is two thousand nine hundred and fourteen andxinety-seven hundredths feet West of anothr monument marking tht,,.p,.�..S��fi%a IN* and Geodetic SurveyTriangulation Statl monu meat is located near the Western end of a ridge over looking the South shore of Fishers Island and on the highest point between Chocomont and Mont Prospect and lies South forty-five degrees seventeen minutes twenty-six secondsst of North Dumpling Light is Fishers Island Sound; said point of beginning being - z on a curve to the left whose radius at that point is seven hundred and twenty-five and seventyr seven hundredths feet and the direction of whose radius at that point is South forty-three degrees nineteen minutes twenty seconds East; thence run- ning Southwesterly along the Northwesterly line of said road and following the are of said curve a distance of two hundred and ten and seventy-three I hundredths feet to a stake; thence North forty- five degrees four minutes thirty seconds Aest two hundred and eighty-nine and sixty hundredths feet to a stake on the shore of Fishers Island Sound; thence North twenty-eight degrees forty-one minute thirty seconds East fifty-eight and forty-five hundredths feet to a stake thence Worth thirty-fou degrees eight minutes twenty seconds West one hundred and ten and eighteen hundredths feet to a stake and thence North seventy-seven degrees thirt - five minutes forty-five seconds East one hundred ninety-five and ten hundredths feet to a stake, these last three lines following the meanders of said shore line; thence South thirty-eight degrees`lll thirty-two minutes fifteen seconds East two hundre, and eighty-six and sixty-four hundredths feet to the place of beginning, containing one and seventy one hundredths acres, more or less.
