HomeMy WebLinkAboutL 3730 P 571 r THIS INDENTURE, made the yg qday of June , Nine- teen hundred and fifty-four, between FISHERS ISLAND ESTATES# INC., a New York corporation having its principal office at 14 East 52nd Street, in the 6ity, County and State of New Yor , hereinafter called the grantor, party of the first part, and GEORGE deF. LORD and RUTH duPONT )ARD, his wife, both resid- ing at 419 Skiff Street, ti nden, Connecticut, hereinafter called the grantees, parties of the second part: WITNESSETH, that the party of the first part, in consideration of One hundred Dollars (:100.), lawful money of the United States, and other good and valuable consideration paid by the parties of the second part, does hereby grant and release unto the parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns forever, ALL that lot or parcel of land in the Tow of Southold, Suffolk County State of New York, being a part of that portion of fishers Island belonging to the grantor (which portion is hereinafter called the "Park") lying easterly of the following line, vis.: BEGINNING at the southeasterly comer of land owned by the United States, known as the Fort n. G. Wright Military Reservation, Mount Prospect Tract, on the shore of nlock Island Sound or the Atlantic Ocean (as said Tract was constituted prior to the extension thereof by the acquisition of additional lands In condemnation proceedings instituted in 1942) and running thence northerly following the East boundary of the said tract of land of the United States (as same was constituted prior to such exten- sion thereof) to the southerly line of East End Road (sometimes celled Oriental Avenue) and which point is the northeasterly corner of said tract of land of the United States (as same was constituted prior to such extension thereof), thence crossing the East End Road and following the same course as the last to the shore of West Harbor or Fishers Island Sound; Said jot or parcel of land being bounded and described as follows: oEGINNING at a stone monument at a corner of other land of the grantees, said monument being 239.76 feet North of a point which is 453.55 feet West of another monument marking the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey Triangulation Station "NIX" (whicii said ITNIN" monument is located near the Western and of a ridge overlooking the South shore of Fishers Island and on the highest point between C:wcomount .md Mount Prospect rnd lies South 45 degrees 17 minutes 26 seconds last of i4orth Dumpling Light in Fishers Island Sound); and running thence North 47 degrees 40 minutes 40 seconds East 123.50 feet to a stake on the Southwesterly line of a private road forty feet wide, said stake marking a point of curve to the right whose radius is 120.07 feet and the direction of whose radius et tient point is North 54 degrees 46 minutes 42 seconds East) thence ;iorthwestwardly along said road line and fol- lowing the are of saia curve 79.30 feet to another point of curve to the right, whose radius is 29,436.0 i 3730 aet 572 -2- j feet and the direction of whose radius at that point is South 87 degrees 22 minutes 20 seconds East, thence Northwardly along said road line and follow- ing the are of said curve 174.68 feet; thence leav- ing said road, North 81 degrees 56 minutes West 34.89 feet; thence South 55 degrees 13 minutes West 105.80 feet; thence 1gorth 87 degrees 45 minutes West 153.60 feet to a point; thence South 11 degrees 23 minutes West 97.12 feet to other land of the grantees; thence, along such other land of the j grantees, South 48 degrees 59 minutes 50 seconds East 286.66 feet to the point of beginning; contain- - I ��, ing 1.42 acres, more or less. -
