R~£QUEST FCR SPECIAL EXCEPTION: Board denies permission for a "V" shaped sign of
maximum size 6 1/2 x 12 1/2; but grants permission for a "V" shaped sign not to
exceed on either face, 5'9 x 3'10. However, it is a condition of this exception
that the advertising on the sign faces or face, must emphasize the New Suffolk
Shipyard, furnishing directional information, and in smaller letters, the
vertisment of products handled and services of New Suffolk Shipyard, provided this
replaces the original sign.
Location: sign on land of John Boucher, south side Main Road, west of Mattituck
Village, bounded north by Reeve Bros.; East by Creek; South by Sutter; West by

SUBSECTION
THE SPECIAL EXCEPTION IS REQUESTED BECAUSE : We have had a non-conforming
single face advertizing sign on this location - S/S Main Rd, west of
Mattituck Village, on land of John Boucher, for at least five years.
We now wish to change the sign to a V shape double face sign
of maximum size (6~ xl2~) feett using signs furnished by the comapny
whose products we handler or other sign which we will have painted
to suit our advertizing needs. We have a verbal lease agreement
with Mr. Boucher for the use of his land.
