Dear Mr. Radford:
The following action was taken by the Southold Town Planning
Board at a regular meeting held December 15, 1980.
RESOLVED that whereas a formal application for the approval
of a subdivision plat, entitled Minor Subdivision of Ernest G.
Radford located at East Marion, was submitted to the Planning
Board on October 7, 1980, and an application fee of $50 was
received on October 7, 1980, and
WHEREAS a public hearing was held on the said subdivision
application and plat at the Town Hall, Southold, New York, on
November 24, 1980 at 8:15 p.m., and
WHEREAS the requirements of the Subdivision Regulations of
the Town of Southold have been met by said subdivision plat and
application,
Now, therefore, be it RESOLVED ,that the application of
Ernest G. Radford for approval of said subdivision plat prepared
by R. Van Tuyl, P.C. mapped July 10, 1980 and amended October 17,
1980 be approved and the chairman be authorized to endorse his
approval on the map.
Upon receipt of three maps with the notation on the
extension of Marion Lane rrreserved for possible future dedication
to the Town of Southoldrr, I will have one signed and return same
to you.

'lhe owner of Lot M3 (Washburn Minor #136) showed me concrete markers, one a t the
end of Marion Place and one at his south proper1q>" line, denoting tb! CEnter lire
of a 15 ft. R.O.W. going through his property tD Lot M2 in the sane subdivision.
'Ibis R.O.W. 1's in a well kept fairly level la1l1 area with no apparent drainage
problem. .
Recommendations for elCtending Marion Place to Lot M2:
1. Road width 15 ft.
2. Remove topsoil and loam for a depth or 12".
3. Replace the tDpsoil and loam excavation wi th 12" of compacted IEdium size
and fine grare. as used in the other 00 private roads. It may be necessary
to place a thin layer of loam on the gravel surf'lll\le to prevent ravel.i:ng.

NEGATIVE DECLARATION
November 24, 1980
Pursuant to Article 8 of the Environmental Conservation Law
State Environmental Quality Review Act and 6NYCRR Part 617,
Section 617.10 and Chapter 44 of the Code of the Town of Southold,
notice is hereby given that Southold Town Planning Board as lead
agency for the action described below has determined that the
project will not have a significant effect on the environment.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTION
The minor subdivision of Ernest G. Radford is a two-lot
residential subdivision located at East Marion.
The project has been determined not to have a significant
effect on the environment for the following reasons:
An environmental assessment has been submitted which
indicated that no significant adverse effects to the
environment were likely to occur should the project be
implemented as planned.
As the subdivision is not within 300 feet of tidal
wetlands, comments were not solicited from the New York
State Department of Environmental Conservation.
Because there has been no response in the alloted time
from the Suffolk County Department of Health Services
it is assumed that there is no objection nor comments
by that agency.
The project will meet all the requirements of the Code
of the Town of Southold Subdivision of Land Regulations.
