garage on his motel property known as Blue Dolphin Motel, located
at East Marion.

Blue Dolphin Motel - amended site plan
Dear Mr. Lessard:
The following action was taken by the Southold Town
Planning Board, Friday, September 9, 1983.
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning Board approve
the amended site plan of Athanasios Spinthourakis/Blue Dolphin
Motel, located at East Marion, subject to certification from
the Building Inspector's Office, an on site field inspection
by the Planning Board ~ior to the issuance of a certificate
of occupancy and a one year review.
Please be advised that upon inspection of this area, a
snack bar was in operation, as indicated by a sign in front
of the existing motel; our office has no record in our files
regarding approval of this use.
Three copies of the above site plan have been attached.

Application for Athanasios Spinthourakis
Property at Main Road, East Marion (Blue Dolphin Motel)
Gentlemen:
On May 26, 1982 the above application for a Special Exception
was filed concerning a proposal to construct a 32' by 32'
accessory one-story frame garage in the rearyard area of the
subject premises as shown on the attached survey dated 6/30/72.
It is our understanding that a review is being made as to
whether a Special Exception is actually required pursuant to
Section 100-50; however, it is the determination of the build-
ing inspector that in any event, approval from the Planning
Board will be necessary.
At a Regular Meeting by this board held May 26th, it was the
consensus of the board to hold this matter in abeyance pend-
ing review by your department. In the interim, if it is
interpreted that an application to this board is not necessary,
the applicant will not have lost time in the processing of
his application by the building department, etc.
Your review of this proposed plan will be appreciated by all
concerned.

Board, Monday, September 20, 1982.
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning Board forward the
site plan of Athanasios Spinthourakis, for the construction of
a garage on the property known as Blue Dolphin Mote'l, located
at East Marion to the Building Inspector for certification.

Gentlemen:
The present motel use is a permitted use in the M-1 General
Multiple Residence District in which premises is located.
The proposed use is permitted under Art. V Section 100-50 C
as an accessory structure. The zone district does not regulate
area locations or set backs for accessory buildings, therefore
proposed location of this garage in front yard area would appear
to be in order. The set backs as shown meet set backs for
Bulk & Parking Schedule under Art. V Section 100-51.
This certification is made under Art.

A site plan was approved by your Board for this project on Nevember 8,
1982, hoverer, Hr. Spinthourakis wishes to relocate the proposed building on the
opposite side of the property. The reason for the chan~e is the fact that a play-
area for children currently occupies the approved location for the garage.

your earliest convenience.
