Dear Pat:
The following action was taken by the Southold Town Planning
Board at a regular meeting held August 22, 1977.
RESOLVED that temporary approval be granted Patricia Drossos
for restaurant parking on the south side of the Main Road on
business property owned by Ms. Drossos, subOect to presentation
of proof of a signed lease or statement from Long Island Lighting
Company that they are willing to provide permanent parking. This
permission is granted for 60 days.
As of this date, I have not received the agreement with the
Long Island Lighting Company.

Dear Mr. Smith:
The Board has determined that a car wash is a use similar
to a laundromat and may be conducted in the "B - Light
Business" area.
We believe that a minimum of 40,000 sq. ft. is required
for the residence and at least 40,000 sq. ft. for the car
wash, a total of at least 80,000 sq. ft. The car wash
should have blacktopped approaches accommodating at least
ten or more cars per washing unit.
Site plan approval of the Planning Board is required.

parking area involved to be sure it is adequate for parking
under the town regulations.

License Agreement Covering Use
of Portion of Long Island Lighting
Company Premises at Southold~ N.Y.
Dear Mrs. Drossos:
Upon acceptance by you In the manner indicated below,
Long Island Lighting Company hereby grants to you a License to
permit you, your employees, agents, servants, invitees
licensees, to enter upon and use a 100' X 200' portion of our
premises known as the Southold Generating Station, Southold,
New York, more particularly shown on the annexed sketch, for the
uses and purposes, and for the period of time, hereinafter set
forth.
Your use of said premises shall be for the temporary
parking of private motor vehicles, and as a Licensee only,
and shall be on the following terms and conditions:
1. Your use and occupancy shall commence o~ the
effective date of this Agreement, as hereafte~ pro-
vided, and shall continue until either of-us'shall
notify the other of the termination of this Agreement,
by Registered or Certified mail.
2. At the termination of this Agreement, you agree
to restore the premises to its original condition,
leaving it clean and free of all debris, all at your
own cost and expense.
3. You agree to take the aforesaid premises "AS IS",
and agree that any work required'to be done to utilize
said premises for the intended purposes will be done
at your own cost and expense. It is further agreed
that you will secure any and all permits required by
any municipality for the use of said premises for the
above stated purpose or for any work done hereunder,
all at your own cost and expense.

4. You agree that you will not deviate or vary
from the purposes for which this License is granted
or do any work or alteration of the premises, without
our prior written consent.
5. In consideration of our consent expressed herein,
you hereby undertake and agree to indemnify and hold
harmless LONG ISLAND LIGHTING COMPANY, its officers,
.directors, employees, agents, and servants, from and
against all losses, damages, claims, liens and encum-
brances, or any or all of them, arising out of or
in any way connected with your occupancy hereunder,
and whenever made or incurred, including any. and all
liability imposed by law and/or contract and/or
custom, upon LONG ISLAND LIGHTING COMPANY, its
officers, directors, employees, agents and servants
or any or all of them, whether or not it be claimed
or proven that there was negligence or breach of.
statutory duty or both upon the part of LONG ISLAND
LIGHTING COMPANY, its officers, directors, employees,
agents and servants; and in any case we shall have
the right to ~emand that you shall undertake to
defend any and all suits and to investigate
and defend any and all claims, whether Justified
or not, providing only that the claim or suit
shall be against LONG ISLAND LIGHTING COMPANY,
its officers, directors, employees, agents or
servants.
6. You will provide, for the duration of this
Agreement, a Certificate of Owner's-Landlord's~
Tenant's Public Liability Insurance covering
your liability and the liability of LONG ISLAND
LIGHTING COMPANY arising out of your use or occupancy
of the~said premises. Limits of coverage shall be
$500,000 Personal Injury and $500,000 Property Damage.
The Certificate must indicate that contractual coverage,
insuring you and LONG ISLAND LIGHTING COMPANY against
the liability by the preceding condition, has been
provided.
Upon our receipt of a signed counterpart of this
letter, and a satisfactory Certificate. of Insurance as pro-
vided for above, this License will become effective.

is short of required parking area for legal occupancy by about
3500 Sq Ft.
They would like to get temporary approval to use their
property on E/S Main Road for this additional parking until they
c%n negotiate for additional space from L.I.L.Co. with whom they
now have a limited agreement.
Please make a spot on your next agenda (July 18th)
for Mrs. Drossos to com in and discuss this with you.
Both sides of the road are zoned the same "B" business.
