Gentlemen:
This is to certify that the follo~in9 action was taken by
the Southold Town Planning Board at their meeting November 1, 1961:
In the matter of the application to layout Town highway to be
known as Gull Pond Lane by Ruth F. Preston, Ida Belle LathL~ and
Robert L. Muir, on the southerly side North Road, 500 feet easterly
from the northeasterly corner of land of Sterling Cemetery,
as described in application to layout Town Highway and shown on map
of Gull Pond Lane by Otto W. Van Tuyl & Son dated August 1, 1961.
It is hereby
RESOLVED that the Planning Board approves the layout of Gull
Pond Lane for a Town Highway.
The Planning B~ard has requested Mr. Robert Preston and others
to reserve an area 100 ft. by 100 ft. on the southeast corner of
property adjoining the 100 ft. turn-around proposed for the end of
Gull Pond Lane for possible dedication if required by the Town Board
A final hearing upon the matter of approval of Fordham Acres
Section I has been set for December 5, 1961.

Gentlemen=
This is to certify that the following action was taken
by the Southold Tow~ Plann~g Board at their meet/Ag Sept-
ember 13, 1961.
In the matter of the application to layout town highway to be
known as Gull Pond Lane by Ruth F. Preston, Xda Belle Latham
and Robert L. Muir, it was the decision of the Planning Board
to withhold approval of this highway at this t/me. This appli-
.cation is a departure from Town policy in that this proposed
road does not have the required turnaround at the water.
The records of the P~anning Board indicate that there is
an application on file for the approval of Fo~dham Acres,
Section One with this proposed road, ~ull Pond Lane, going to
water with a 100 ft. turnaround.
The Planning Board feels that no further action should
be taken on this matter until FordhamAcres, Section One
has been filed.
