BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

FISHERS ISLAND FERRY DISTRICT

A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners was called
by the ~hairman at 1:00 p.m. in the office of the Ferry Dis-
trict. Present were Commissioners Doyen, Baker, Evans, du-
Pont and Edwards. The outstanding obligations of the Ferry
District for the month of June 1980 in the amount of S35,779.49
as represented by .vouchers 209 through 237 inclusive were read
by the Secretary. A motion was made by Commissioner ".n.
and seconded by Commiuioner Edwards tnat the outstanding
obligations of the Fishers Island Ferry District be Paid.
Motion was carried unanimously.
In response to a recommendation from the Town of southold
AUditor, 'l'heodore J. Heuller, the following rellolution was
paned:

WHEREAS the Fishers Island Ferry District is carrying an
accounts receivable entry on Us books in the ilmOunt of

And WHEREAS said account is deemed to be uncollectable

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that said account be written of~ &S
a bad debt.
The following resolution was passed by the commissioners for
purposes of operating the Community Theater for the summer
season of 1960.

, The manager reported that FAA approval had been received
for leasing half of b~Ud1n9 #383 to Richa""d Grebe. The~.
must also be a p~bHc hearing and approval by the Town ~ar4
before the lease can be cons~mmated.
A disc~$sion ens~ed concerning Friday night operations. There
has been a problem with a large n~mber of persons and cars
showing ~p after 8:00 p.m. when only one tri.p with QLINPA is
left on the sched~le. tt was the general concens~s that We
wo~ld see if the traffic pattern settled down nOW that ~o.t
s~mmer residents have arrived.
